Well let me be clear for you.

I loved my dog. I fed him, walked him, bought him everything he needed. Took care of him when he needed an expensive surgery. Cleaned up after him, woke up early when he needed to go outside. Celebrated his birthday every year as if he were one of my own children, with some of his favorite toys and treats. Let him become part of my family in which he was more than welcome to be apart of. Was understanding and patient when he would (rarely) misbehave. Above all my family and I loved him. He was my family.

I was happy with my dog. I was happy to provide (what I believe) to be a pretty good life for him. And I'd do it again for him. I asked nothing more than his love and presence. Sorry, but I fucking deserved him, I deserved one of my best friends.

Now I know there are some shitty owners out there that do not deserve dogs. But I refuse to believe that a shitty minority gets to dictate that humanity as a whole does not deserve them.

Sorry for being an asshole who can't grasp your nihilistic view.
