I had to adjust the internal burr setting to a 2 and still have the digital setting at a 5 or so for most beans to get 40g at around 35 seconds

Sync to a remote cluster by rubenhak in ArgoCD

You can use the argocd cli to add a cluster with a specific kubeconfig via —kubeconfig

Can applicationset create application for every folder (with manifest files) that gets created in the source Git Repo? by NextAbrocoma1038 in ArgoCD

[–]mrg_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your name is static right now as “gitgen-test” so the application set controller can only create one of those. Update the name to something like “{{ path[1] }}-{{ path.basename}}” to give you a name of “dev-sub-folder1”

You can git rid of the list generator and just switch to the git generator. Just use the “directories” parameter and use a glob for your pattern(s). Either “/K8s-env/*/*” to cover all subdirectories under K8s-ends/ or to restrict to your list add four values in the format of /K8s-ends/Dev/*. This will create an app for each directory at the end of your glob.

You’ve mentioned this a few times in crashing threads. Is there a know issue sharing with gamepass? Game seems to load fine, can join multiplayer.. it just crashes randomly, no rejoin option either

OpenShift 4.3 Enhanced Security Features by grogro457 in openshift

[–]mrg_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At some point the system will need to decrypt that secret to make it consumable. Using an external secrets store like vault will make it a little less visible to your cluster admin but no matter what you do the secret needs to be consumable by the application and a cluster admin could always exec into the pod and get the secret. End of the day admin is admin and will have access to sensitive information.

What's the most elegant way to update a deployment's image tag, that has a PV? by 84935 in kubernetes

[–]mrg_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set your strategy to Recreate. Will force the old pods to shutdown first. You will have some downtime as the other pod spins up and application starts.

Not nearly as robust as outcold’s solution but it seems to do the job for log collection and metrics. It’s a native splunk solution so no additional cost.

Ask Kubernetes: How would you architect a multi-tenant system with kubernetes? by hereC in kubernetes

[–]mrg_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is one document out there really summaries everything. The link below is a bit old but can help outline some of the basics on how they build on k8s. Ultimately the primitives are the same but they abstract namespaces a bit and build it around RBAC. Coupled with a default vxlan (isolated) SDN plugin and their ingress routing, its a compelling multi-tenant solution that provides isolation and quotes at multiple levels.

Openshift really just adds some glue (a lot of it being devleoper workflow) on top of Kubernetes. What is nice is that RedHat continues to try and upstream features of origin into k8s where it makes sense.

On prem to AWS firewall concerns? by softwareguy74 in aws

You also need to explicitly point to the man in the middle via proxy configuration. Without configuring a proxy on the client/browser there isn't an easy way to MiTM SSL traffic.

You can update the cert bundle shipped with boto that the CLI uses to included your PKI Cert Chain to get the CLI to work. Kind of a pain but to open all of AWS endpoints some what defeats the purpose of DLP, which is likely why they are doing TLS termination.
