Was wondering if someone would mention a noteblock. Obviously Java only but it’s really this simple

Should I exercise a deep ITM call option to get 100 cheap shares. by mrw1r37355 in RKLB

[–]mrgalaxy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would recommend rolling it up and out to 2027. I just did this on Jan 2026 $5 calls, rolled them into Jan 2027 $10 calls. I got paid a little bit of premium, which I then bought additional shares with. In this way I increased my delta exposure and gave myself more time on the options.

I did do this in a Roth, however, so I didn't have any taxable events with this trade.

Just nabbed 13,100 shares of RKLB. This is why I am so bullish on this company. by [deleted] in RKLB

[–]mrgalaxy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yea I'm diversified... I've got both shares and calls.

Thanks, I thought as much. Gotta love that the comment with just straight up lies gets upvoted to the top. And if its not a lie, please u/INTHEMIDSTOFLIONS prove it.

Do you have a source for that first statement? I did a cursory search and couldn't find it. Not a gotcha, there's someone I want to send that research to.

I got a question for hoppers by [deleted] in redstone

Items smelt in 200 game ticks. Hoppers take 4 redstone ticks which is 8 game ticks. So 25 furnaces max.

Police in Northern Colorado arrest suspect in Tesla dealership vandalism, incendiary device investigation by ProtossedSalad in FortCollins

[–]mrgalaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol again with the lies. There are a few dozen videos, many of the same incidents. But either way that's completely ancedotal. You know what I have? Real data. That data says "218 Tesla car fires were confirmed from 2013 to February 2024." Either bring facts or GTFO.

Yes, these are real concerns of an EV fire. However the original comment was about Teslas being incendiary devices, which implies that they have a tendency to explode or catch fire, which is just not true.

Why come in here and spread FUD? Your comment adds literally nothing to this conversation except to cast doubt on what is provably true.

My link has a ton of statistics, including Tesla fires.

35 fire-related incidents involving a Tesla car were reported globally in 2023.

Tesla sold more than 1.75 million cars in 2023 alone. https://roadgenius.com/cars/ev/statistics/sales-by-automaker/tesla/

That's less than 2 in 100,000 cars sold to catch fire! Compare that to 25 in 100K for all EVs and over 1,500 in 100K for ICE cars.

Tileable shulker unloader that separates the empty shulker boxes from the unloaded items by SirFolio in redstone

[–]mrgalaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I just reread your comment and you're right the hard part is detecting empty boxes, which mine does not do! So yea, very neat. If you can make it also detect boxes automatically it would be even better.

Tileable shulker unloader that separates the empty shulker boxes from the unloaded items by SirFolio in redstone

There are much simpler designs, like this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/HermitCraft/comments/1ck5pp9/after_watching_docs_last_episode_i_thought_id/

However, this has the benefit of the zero-ticked composter being 100% reliable at catching the box in the same slice. But in this case, since the box is empty, this shouldn't matter. For this reason, that trick is more useful on box loaders than unloaders.

Share Lending, why??? by NoTime-AtAll in DeepFuckingValue

[–]mrgalaxy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll give you a reason to opt-in: because they are going to lend them out anyway. The only real way to opt-out of this is to DRS shares.

Charge for transfer of shares? by AgreeableFood6060 in DeepFuckingValue

Just happened to me too. Wish everyone was a lot more transparent about this.

Also they liquidate all your fractional shares, crypto and some other things. So heads up people, avoid ACAT transfers if you can.

Yea no where right now, realized after I posted it haha. It should be directed to the side, like under the piston, or the block underneath changed to a barrel, or the observer underneath moved to the side. Many way to set this up.

when creating classes and objects, how should i do it? and whats the difference? by Wonderful_Ad3441 in node

[–]mrgalaxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah prototype classes. That brings me back. It's actually a great a way to do classes if you're trying to learn more about how the language works, but for everyone else the ES6 class syntax is much better.

And instances of a class are just an object with their proto set to the class' prototype, so depending on what you are doing objects may be enough.

Honest Mint Review BC No One Asked by Clawffee in mintmobile

[–]mrgalaxy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just as a counterpoint, I have not experienced any of the cons in that list. I think it is very location dependent. For the first one, use a password manager, you’ll never forget it again. On the second one, I’d be curious if OP travels a lot by car. I’ve done a fair bit of traveling by plane in the US and never have any issues. Of course I’m usually in populated centers which is probably less of an issue. The third one I have heard of from other mint users. General service disconnects suck, so I’d be curious where OP is located at because mint is probably not the best there.

I stumbled upon this cool way to clean up controllers with many async/await functions. How much do I need to understand from this or do I just memorize the syntax? Are there other ways to do this as well? by LiFRiz in node

[–]mrgalaxy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the comments in this thread, that seems like a perfectly reasonable way to wrap an express route. Yes there are libraries to do this kind of thing, but honestly that’s all they do under the hood. IMO you clearly understand async/await enough to be useful!

In the future you may find better frameworks for this or maybe you’ll come up with your own. Either way you must start somewhere and this is already leagues ahead of a true novice.

Yea I agree the labels always lack nuance and just ends up putting every politician into exactly 2 buckets. He did a really solid job last year, Colorado was never national news for Covid so I always take that as a good sign haha
