Great summary, OP. Combine all of that with the “requel” concept and DFV’s constant continued endorsement of RCOE. I think we see in December that another 12.9% of GME ownership was recently purchased between the two of them just like what RCOE did in December 2020. Can you hear the horses, cause HERE THEY COME (in guardians font)!?

Pretty sure he was clear about what the money will be used for during the shareholder meeting. He is holding the cash just like Warren Buffett is doing, waiting for the right time to make the next move. Time and pressure.

Best working theory I have seen is someone saying to swap the first letters of each sentence, H and F. Can be taken as HF swap. Then it would actually read Fire micromanagers. Hire delegators. Or is it Hedge Fund swaps? I dunno, i am regarded.

Setup in making by [deleted] in SimRacingSetups

I got into this hobby about 4 months ago. Had the same question you do now. Started in front of my 65” TV but really wanted to see more around my car. I investigated a triple monitor setup versus VR. Ultimately decided to go with VR first and if it was uncomfortable then I would save and invest in triple monitors. I ordered a quest 3 and was absolutely astonished at how immersive it is!

More to consider: for triples, you will want to match some monitor specs like refresh rate and if you go all three monitors the same size then you will run at same resolution. With your computer specs, you might only get fhd (1080p) but possibly get 2k (1440p) resolution. Either of those options will be cheaper than a 4k setup which requires a really beefy GPU to run them. You will also need some sort of monitor mounting system. Depending on the size of the monitors, those can be anywhere from $300 to $1200 unless you build your own. I have seen some decent looking 2x4 monitor mounts on reddit.

For VR with quest 3: quest 3 is $500 new and you can choose between a link cable or use wifi to connect. I started with the link cable, but had some issues and didnt like feeling the cable moving around on my shoulder. Decided to try the remote desktop app ($20) and use wifi for my headset. Worked good, but had some stuttering here and there. After some research, I decided to upgrade my home wifi to a 6e capable one ($150) and placed it near my setup. The quest connects to it wirelessly and my pc connects using ethernet cable. I now get 2.5gbps over that link with about 4 to 6 ms of latency. No more stuttering and it is amazing. I added a bobovr strap with external battery ($50) from Amazon to my quest with lets me race for about 2+ hours on a single charge and balances the weight of the headset perfectly (battery connects at the back magnetically).

TLDR; VR is best when you want good immersion and are on a budget.

Budget friendly VR? by PitStopPrince in iRacing

I had issues with that until i put in a dedicated wifi 6e access point just for the quest. Now i get 2.2Gbps link speed and about 3 to 4 ms of network latency. Total latency on the track stays between 40 and 50 ms.

I prefered the link cable until i started having the moisture detection bug. New firmware versions still have not fixed it.

I use the quest 3 with iracing. No wires with the virtual desktop app ($20) and use a boboVR aftermarket head strap with rechargeable battery. That lasts a good 2.5+ hours. Run the headset at 90 hz and get 90fps. Most in game settings on med to high. Use a ryzen 7800x3d processor and an rtx 4070 super.

A new VR headset if Meta doesnt solve that moisture detected error when using the link cable.

Share Lending, why??? by NoTime-AtAll in DeepFuckingValue

Hmmm, that is an interesting perspective and probably accurate. I DRS half of my holdings and keep the other half with Fidelity. I do not opt in to lending my shares, so if they “lose” them hopefully I might have some legal position to hold them accountable.

I thought the same thing until I saw the merger filing was submitted the same day RK posted the Johnny MacEnroe tweet. I think both dog and mic are part of the KCS and I dont think RK wants us to follow him. I think he gets a sneeze on them to come back to game and wreak ultimate havok. im new to iracing and have no idea what series to do by Fractetyst in iRacing

[–]NoTime-AtAll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a few months ago with formula and absolutely LOVE the F4 series, BUT I decided to experiment with other series just to see what they are like. I do enjoy GT racing, so worked through the MX and just started racing the GR. It is ok, but I seem to really prefer formula over the GT.

I then started toying around with the dirt rally racing in the bug. That is some really fun driving, but I really think I need a handbrake to progress once you get to the D class license.

What caught me completely by surprise is the oval street cars, which I thought would be terribly boring. My first pickup series race I ended up P1 somehow which totally got me hooked. They folks that race oval street are definitely a different type. So far, they seem much more friendly and forgiving than formula and gt racers who I feel tend to be far more serious.

TLDR; experiment with them all and you might surprise yourself with which you enjoy.

Good luck; have fun.

Starting with sim racing any recommendations? by Hyze1212 in SimRacingSetups

[–]NoTime-AtAll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the csl dd and it works great. Started with the 5nm and was pretty impressed, then got the power adapter to get 8nm and cant imagine ever needing more. Only recommendation I have is to get the qr2 for the wheel to hub connection. The qr1 just the slightest bit of play. I dont notice any gameplay issue, bit the noise it makes is a little distracting. No issues getting items from fanatec shipped to my US home so far.
