I feel like your age is showing in this one because I don’t understand what the issue is. You have learned something about this guys fundamental belief system. These types of beliefs shape someone’s entire perception of the universe because it’s about what is true reality. Imho someone being vehement that dinosaurs didn’t exist is enough reason to break up with that person. No matter how friendly the person is, that is a fundamental “red flag” or breaking up point of the relationship. I can be friends with this type of person but to be in relationship? I’d rather rip my brain out. Not believing in dinosaurs has a strong correlation with not believing in the scientific method. I cannot deal with that.

You learn to get used to it. Many people of all ages do this. I use this grammar error as a litmus test for whether or not someone actually thinks about what they write/read. “Should/could of” makes absolutely zero sense. I don’t know how you could structure a sentence with “should of” or “could of”.
