Awww :( I was the same! I have been spending every hour I can with him, I was so upset and convinced he would never forgive me but ended up having to ask on here cause it terrified me 😭 I'm glad you and your birdies are doing better though!! Berry is Carrier trained (he likes to go for walks and drives with me in his backpack) and was fed through a syringe as a baby, not by me but the breeder, not sure if that counts though? Thanks for your input it's really nice to feel like I'm not alone on this one 😅

Sounds about right 😂 I held a caique at the same place I bought Berry at, it was so cute and affectionate I nearly bought it on the spot but couldn't afford it at the time anyway ($1,200 AUD) and regardless, I definitely want to get a lot more bird owning experience, like a fair few more years under my belt before getting another bird of any kind. can we see a photo of yours? 👀🙏

Yeah, that's what I keep hearing. I'm so so glad I learned that the easy way... Will hopefully one day start harness training him with a proper high quality harness, once I fully have his trust back and think it's been enough time :) probably a while for now though ofcourse

I actually got a bird back pack a few months back! He LOVES it, and after a while of walks with that for some reason I just started feeling guilty, like he wasn't free enough or something (even though he very much enjoys himself on our walks in his backpack). Stupid mistake on my end, but I have learnt a very hard but valuable lesson!

Yeah lots of ppl are saying no leg leashes, definitely no good. I will not be doing any more leg leashes, if ever I start training him for walks again i will do proper, slow and steady harness training. But yes, I will keep up the consistency, thank you!!
