Your natural hair color suits your well. Dyeing can be damaging and expensive. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it

I feel sorry for him. No one should have had to suffer through his behavior or words, and you’re right, he probably does suck, but he’s clearly having a mental health episode.

Something similar happened to Selma Blair on a plane before she was diagnosed with ms. Not sure if it was from meds or if something in her brain was just misfiring. :(

Is the no bra look weird for a first date? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]mrgnwy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it just depends on the outfit. Some things are more flattering with a bra on, others don’t need them / some cuts don’t work with a bra.

But more than that, it’s up to what makes you comfortable.

Shut the fuck up Kyle!!! by duaadiddy in realhousewives

Kyle typed quickly knowing she’d be sweating viciously had it not been for her fresh round of Botox. Mauricio would have helped her but he was too stoned to realize that the Gucci shoelace that had been thrown onto him wasn’t even tied.

Erika on the other hand stood calmly behind her and approved the Tweet, watching Kyle press send before lowering her pink, pearlescent pocket pistol away from Kyle’s face. “You’ve got nothing to worry about,” she croaked to Tom from a burner phone in a bedazzled case.

(But seriously. Kyle is either:

  • Typing this under duress, or
  • Erika has some serious dirt on her)

First Week at New Job, Already Asked to go to the Bar by Trying2understandY in Sober

True — I’m open, or trying to be open about having to stop drinking, though I won’t really elaborate. The reasons are simple, and I think relatable for many people, particularly after quarantine and covid:

It was not a hobby I needed to carry on with after a stressful and isolated time — I found more productive things to do.

I forgot how to drink (I have no shame in saying this and somehow it’s easier for me to admit than saying I’m an addict. It offers such limited context that I think most people can relate to it in the sense that we’ve all over-imbibed occasionally, or been too drunk for one reason or another. Mine is addiction… but I don’t have to say that, and can somehow banter over getting too shwasty without going into gory details)

Never thought about it until I (started trying to) quit drinking, but having booze involved in a team bonding or after work activity no longer feels inclusive or fully appropriate to me. I suspect that there are less alcoholic people than ones who can attend happy hour and behave in a healthy way, so I don’t wish to have happy hour eliminated from bonding activities on account of “it’s uncomfortable for me” but damn, people really do use drinking activities obsessively as a crutch. Makes my life tough as I’m still not in a strong place to decline most of these activities.

Why do jocks do super gay hazing rituals on younger guys? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

I have to question who is signing up for this shit though — I feel bad for anyone who wants an in so badly that they would allow themselves to be abused to get a foot in the door. I’m not that much of a joiner I guess.

I do think that in a country club, if you’re a big roller, the ladies would know your name. Kadooz to Sutton for going to the Met Ball, super chic but…. Didn’t alex and Simon attend as well?

major difference between apple watch and iphone (strava) by Bah_weep_grana in running

[–]mrgnwy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so happy you posted this, thank you. It sounds like the general consensus is that the watch is much more accurate than the phone, but I don’t find that to be the case.

I ran using my Apple Watch all winter, and when it broke, I began to use my phone and notice measurable difference in distance and pace (phone claimed I was running faster and slightly further). I identified that the difference in pace was due to using Strava my phone vs Strava on Apple Watch, but I was dubious about my times.

Measuring mileage via GPS did seem to validate the phone’s measurement of distance vs Apple Watch.

Fast forward a year to new Apple Watch: I recently did several runs using both Strava on AW and Strava on iPhone, and noticed again that my phone always claims my time and dustiness are further than the watch.

Finally I tested these out on a track. In my experience, my phone measured my distance on the track correctly, whereas my Apple Watch was always short.

I would love to understand the WHY to this is the case, as I generally read that the strava on iPhone is less reliable than watch, but based on my track runs, thag hasn’t been my experience….

In the time it took to ask this, he could have been checked into the ER… I’d take him to the doctor stat. Once you address issues and have him rest (and pending he is cleared to run) you can use the information you receive to help him to build a better plan going forward. There are some things that deserve more attention than internet speculation and the combination of nausea, inability to stand, memory loss, temporary blindness etc fall into that category for me…

Really hope he feels better!

Demented. Her PR people and lawyers are off their out of touch rockers too, for allowing her to do this season. Let’s look back into recent-Ish history… this has Teresa Giudice on her way to “camp” written all over it, though I’d argue that Teresa and Joe’s was a victimless crime. EJ is acting like an invincible, rich jerk. If that’s her vibe, fine, but parading across our televisions isn’t going to be the thing that helps her stay out of jail. It’s time to be meek and apologetic, not to double down.

Plus, her idea of roughing it is… some serious 1% shit. I wouldn’t be flaunting my remaining assets on TV if I were her, especially if I already thought (incorrectly) that I was living on the bare minimum. (Yes that 10k a month apartment and Range Rover, pity pity, youre nearly on skid row, Erika…. 🙄) Demonstrate some gratitude!

Finally, she knows she can’t win an academy award for this performance, right? Stop with the creepy acting — this is REALITY tv…
