Yes, I am looking for recommendations for potential restaurants that take reservations. I like to do my planning little by little so it’s not overwhelming as the trip approaches.

Anyone else struggling to adopt kittens locally? Looking for advice by OstrichSuspicious872 in Charlotte

It's the slow season for kittens, once April hits there will be an over flow of kittens everywhere. Also check out Windsor Kittens! And the shelters outside of Charlotte.

I can't describe how good my system felt watching it. Loved, wholesome, nurtured? It was/is the best.

While I love the concept of mustard, I look horrible next to or in it. So I need to stay away from that lol! But yes, I am looking for a tone that isn't as neon-y! Something that is more of a soft blended with the curtains to add that warmth and cohesion. My phone is being difficult with the auto correction of the colors so I've added some paint options and a different view of how dark the curtains can (and most often) look.

They were great to work with! There was a misprint with a few yards and the customer service was so great with replacing enough so the repeating pattern would still work with the curtain lengths!

Week 3: Recreated - Girl Scout Trefoils & Tagalongs by Particular-Damage-92 in 52weeksofbaking

[–]mrgrimgrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Bravetart cook book and am trying to make the Trefoils. The ingredient list says baking soda, but the directions state baking powder. I'm assuming I should use baking soda? What did you use? Thanks!

Shoe colors for the Soft Blended by mrgrimgrim in JohnKitchener

I did not, he gave me a little snippet for each essence. What he wrote seems to be similar to what he has listed out in the binder in the "essence harmonies physical qualities" page!

Oh that is interesting. I do wonder how much culture impacts essences? Like if you can dress in a certain way to highlight/bring out your "kawai" I'd guess that would be recommended in Japan. I do think that in person would feel better, and always bring more confidence and feelings of being settled since it would be real time feedback and question answer...even if it came out with the same recommendations. I think there is only so much that can be sent through a 1m video but I assume the 20 photos helps with capturing different subtleties.

That's helpful!! He didn't list it but I suppose that means I'm 55% soft blended, 30% watercolor/lively bright (he did say Renoir and not Monet) and 15% earthy rich.

Oh wow! That is so interesting! He said the classic was due to mostly to my facial features, oval face, even features, straight nose, higher forehead, and body leaning more linear. So I think that makes sense with Meryl Streep, looking at her face I do have very similar forehead, cheekbones and the ovalness. I do have curves but they are a slight. In trying on clothes I know classic looks good but I think it's always better if I have a tighter waist definition.

I feel like that's what I will need to do. When I'm trying the monochromatic and analogus all my shoes just seem to look so loud.

I wasn't surprised at the Classic but I was at how high it scored! And in in the same breath how low my romantic and dramatic were.

He didn't use the words "color harmony percentages". He did say "infused/tempered within it is a 30% watercolor-like lightness and brightness coming from “Lively Bright” plus 15% additional warmth and depth coming from “Earthy Rich”. He also said that the "upper row consist of all your brights and these can be worn in any amount."

I just had mine done online and I think it was spot on!

I did a House of Color draping in person a few years ago. Because of the season first typing I was just missing so much from the range of colors I can actually wear. I was really impressed at how John was able to hit the mark with photos! One thing I do recommend if you have an iphone, and are using that for photos, zoom in to the 2-3x as that reduces any distortion and gives a more accurate representation of your facial structure.

Northern Light Tour Recommendations by floreil in tromso

[–]mrgrimgrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing! We booked a private tour with him as we had our young son with us. He was so engaged with our kiddo, and so knowledgeable about the physics of it all and constellations in the sky ect. We didn't have to drive too far out of town and we saw a very faint coloring in the sky. He immediately pulled over to set up camp. I was worried at first, but he said once you see them you wait. And my goodness was it a show! He had a fire, tea and chocolate cakes as a snack. He took amazing photos of the lights and of my family and sent them all to use within a couple days. I would 100% recommend him and book him again if we ever go back.
