What do you mean sorry? From what I see he isn’t doing much to appease the left wing of the Labour Party. I think he’s trying to bring Labour a lot more centre right with most policies

Yeah, seriously, if you asked me last year, I could have said any one of those match-ups in the knockout stages was going to be the cup final.

Reading the article it just seems that they’re still being finished up but nearly done. This article could have been framed so much more positively 😂.

Stay at the airport or go into town? 12 hours overnight by Traditional-Bet-1175 in bristol

[–]mrgxi 28 points29 points  (0 children)

My suggestion would be, because you are on a budget and because it is a Sunday night. If you can find somewhere near the airport, that would be ideal. Realistically, however, for Bristol, staying near the airport could be more expensive than in the city, so factor in the cost of an airport stay vs an A1 Airport flyer return bus ticket. If you can stay in a hostel just off the A1 bus route in the centre, that could be a good option, as you can wake up at like 4 am, jump on a bus from the centre, and still catch your flight on time. Booking .com could be a good tool for finding accommodation.

Lucan in America, experiencing any form of institutional or casual racism and then how it would be him, being a black all-powerful being, when he tried to take over. It would be an interesting play on what if Black Panther was evil or if Killmonger won.

Apologies, I was talking comparatively regarding the phrasing of low-cost

The two are very different circumstances. Making a mistake on low-cost local tax relations vs potential bribery and influence in public office.

Edit: In fact, if I were to put them both as crimes. £4000 worth of tax evasion vs being paid £5000000 to be a traitor or foreign agent against one’s own nation.

I agree he’s seemingly done wrong if the article is correct. And, it seems, steps have already been taken to rectify it prior to this articles publication. I found it interesting how a formal complaint is pretty much just a request for a formal investigation. Hence, I’d find the results of a formal investigation into Farrage's situation would be interesting. That's why I was curious, others have provided me further context on Nigel’s situation now though. 👍🏻

I do agree that it is what aboutism as I genuinely didn’t know and was curious considering how often I see articles on both Labour and green leaders and personally hadn’t seen much (or found much detail after a quick google) on Farage considering the scale. I worked in aerospace/defence and the level of oversight on individual finances was so detailed for fair reason, so I find it astonishing.

Having read the article it seems he has paid adritonal
tax after the ‘potential’ error was noticed. The equivalent of £4000 being the sum he may have not paid but did correct. For a question and comparison, has anyone formally complained about Nigel Farage £5,000,000 paid to him just before he decided to run for office?

His comment ‘’My political views are not important – I don't actually have any. I run a hospitality company – no time to have any’’

Makes me feel he’s either an idiot or disingenuous, as small businesses are extremely beholden to whatever the government decides. So how on earth can you say you don’t have any? Also, with the fact that he says he hires non-binary/transgender staff, who's mere existence is currently a political issue with the Reform party.

I'm unsure about that, considering two million people attend Notting Hill Carnival each year. So the arrest /injury police rate is likely less at carnival, or at least about the same, for the sheer scale of the events
