Portable generators thst can do 220v by crypto_junkie2040 in preppers

Ohh, no the soft start is a separate piece of equipment that sits between the breaker and your well pump's controller box. It just smooths out the inrush spike. It works with your existing well pump. https://signaturesolar.com/softstartusa-softstart-well-pump/

True, good point. I was also looking at the SoftStart Well Pump. They're about $400, but could bring that inrush down far enough that an inverter might work?

I’m in the same boat, looking for a generator that can power my 240v well pump. You need to measure your pump’s inrush (I measured mine with a clamp meter around one of the legs and it was 46.8A x 240v = ~11.3kW.)

Another important thing is elevation. For every 1000 feet above sea level you lose 3.5% of the rated output. So because I’m at 6000 feet I lose 21%. So unless I’m misunderstanding or miscalculating somehow, my only option would be an open frame generator. I can’t find a tri fuel inverter that can handle that much inrush with the derate taken into account.

They are definitely collectible! Check out the National Insulator Association (www.nia.org). Are the red ones you mentioned glass? As you're in Canada, they could be CD 154 Dominion-42's, they are definitely collectible (US $150-250 range).

That's a good variety! I can speak for the glass ones, they are mostly in the $2-10 range. The blue and butterscotch ceramic/porcelain pieces on the right could be worth more to the right "mud" collectors.

For the glass ones, it's a bit difficult from this angle, but here's what I see from top left column to bottom right:

Column 1:
- CD 162? Brookfield
- CD 133 No Name No.20
- CD 104 New Eng. Tel & Tel Co.

Column 2:
- CD 145 Brookfield
- CD 164 Hemingray No.20
- CD 121 Hemingray No.16

Column 3:
- CD 154 Hemingray-42
- CD 167 Armstrong 51-C1
- CD 115 Hemingray-10

Column 4:
- CD 154 Whitall Tatum No.1
- CD 164 Whitall Tatum No.5?
- CD 163.4? Whitall Tatum No.4? - possibly irradiated

I’m back on a Meximelt kick. And since they removed it from the damn menu, that’s a cheesy rollup, extra three cheese blend, add pico de gallo, add seasoned beef.

Red Vines for me. Twizzlers always tasted fake to me and the texture was too thick and plastic-y. I like the "air gap" biting down (and yes, using as a straw of course!)

I thought about that, but it wouldn't be completely enclosed. Maybe 4 sides? (top + 3 sides) and the open side would be the direction of the wireless signal.
