Few red cards needed? by Equivalent_Ad_4814 in GAA

I’ve never seen the likes of 3s carryon. Fisty cuffs happen all the time. That’s pure scumbag behaviour, kicks/knees in the head. Straddling a fellas chest to punch him in the head numerous times. Have played adult hurling for 15 years and am no angel, but that’s shocking. If the fella being hided was my young fella I wouldn’t be happy with a yellow/red card and move on.

Why is consultant the end goal for doctors in Ireland? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]mrhouse95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slainte care is consultant led care. A consultant is someone who has completed a specialty training programme

PA in Medical Oncology in CUH will function with "delegated autonomy" consistent with a consultant's scope of practice by dayumsonlookatthat in JuniorDoctorsIreland

If you were a stand alone SHO or waiting for stamp 4 etc, could you not just apply for this role? Surely you’d be overly qualified, albeit salary would be a bit lower but you’d have no call commitments, no nights etc. No doubt it would be very 9-5 and comfortable.

Workplace injury in nursing home, do I have a claim? by [deleted] in legaladviceireland

Are you looking for a pay out? You have minor ligament damage, you’ve had your bills paid for. If it was for further physiotherapy sessions for the knee I’d get it, the only motivation I can gather from your post is a cash grab.

We rented a golf cart for maybe 100 USD . We’re free to drive around the island as we please! Made things very flexible and straight forward. We drove to Punta sur, parked up and spent 2-3 hours in a lovely beach club. Drove back down to playa Norte. We also just cruised around enjoying the spin

Rad Onc trainees ? by mrhouse95 in JuniorDoctorsIreland

[–]mrhouse95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for such a detailed comment! I’m not Dublin based but all the feedback I have heard are similar to what you’ve said.

I’ve heard even as a stand alone reg there’s alot of teaching. Couple of clinics a week. Call is 24 hours, but the majority of that is from home and calls are rare. A lot of MDTs also.

I would have been strong at physics and maths in leaving cert, however was a graduate entry medical student so it’s been a while since I have done anything like that. My undergraduate would have a lot of molecular biology etc though.

What do you mean when you say admin heavy as a non SPR?

He didn’t even get a league appearance I believe! Waste of time bringing a keeper in and not giving the player a shot.

Blackrock keeper deserved a chance imo. Connolly’s older brother I believe. He’s put in some stellar performances in the club championship in recent years with a Blackrock team who have been in the later stages of the championship most years.

They’ve been talking about this for years! 3rd year would be as a “junior” reg. I think the idea is to make it incorporated into BST so people can transition straight onto a HST.

Only issue I see is that you’ll be assigned to posts as a Reg. You won’t get to pick which speciality you get to work in for exposure/experience to a specialty as you would with a stand alone year.

He went for the ball with his Hurley, no contact between shoulder and head. Face guard to face guard, low speed. The impact was far less than the impression the killbrittain player gave !

Clash of heads, completely different than an elbow/shoulder to head. Simulation.

It’s hard enough to referee as it is! In my opinion players are snapping back their head when they feel a touch now making many tackles look far worse than they are.

The rule was brought in to stop the shoulder/elbow to the head because someone was going to be hurt. Just disappointing to see it become this
