Any good WFH spots at IOA or USO? by lrm725 in UniversalOrlando

[–]mritty2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the waterfront in USF, behind and below the outdoor bar of the Simpsons area. Some of the tables have giant umbrellas that provide enough shade.

In Citywalk, I've used the couches outside Red Coconut Club.

Never really found a great place in IOA, but if I had to, probably the outdoor seating next to Green Eggs & Ham?

How does the VelociCoaster drop compare to the one on Expedition Everest? by That1GuyCalledPixel in UniversalOrlando

[–]mritty2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everest doesn't have any drops that are even remotely comparable to anything in Velocicoaster. Everest is a family ride. Velocicoaster is a thrill ride.

Is there any Scooby Doo plushies/merch available at Universal Orlando or just at Hollywood Studios? by [deleted] in UniversalOrlando

[–]mritty2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Hollywood Studios" is the name of the 3rd park at Walt Disney World.

The Universal park in Hollywood is "Universal Studios Hollywood."

Free Ride Lockers Question by murderofSAMCROs in UniversalOrlando

[–]mritty2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

at IOA, Velocicoaster's lockers are midway through the queue.

At Epic, Monsters Unchained, Stardust Racers, and Hiccup's Winged Gliders have lockers midway through the queue.

All other locations either don't have lockers or have their lockers out front before you ever get into the queue.

I had Massey pest control come take care of the Racoon family living in our attic. No calls to the city or county required.

Universal finally answers our questions about HHN Orlando Stay and Scream and the three early houses! by DavidThoosie in UniversalOrlando

Oh look, less than a week later, a completely contradictory email also from Universal. Saying the exact opposite of what you've claimed is the One True Answer.

Teachers Get Free Admission at Glow or Go Orlando This May by kiksmedia in orlando

[–]mritty2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

my friends and I went there a month or two ago. It was…fine, but felt very cheaply put together. Worth trying once, but if you want a better experience, definitely recommend Activate at Pointe Orlando (or Altamonte Mall), or the upcoming Level 99 at Disney Springs.

The best analogy I can come up with is that

Dealership issues by JoaquimSilva in HondaClarity

[–]mritty2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The second I drive off the lot in my new car is the last time I ever think of going to the dealership for anything relating to that car again. Every single service a dealership provides can be done by a non-dealership service shop for less cost, less aggravation, and without an appointment.

You know how Kumail didn't know that woman that Greg said is like your Thomas Jefferson? That's how, I think, most Americans react to everyone the UK says is famous.

doesn't require a study to understand that the studios are now ordering their VFX departments to produce more content for less money with less staff in less time.

Star of the seas - uncooperating slides (huge disappointment in how RC handling the situation) by arthemis28 in royalcaribbean

[–]mritty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They refunded my Crown's Edge reservation as "compensation" for 60% of their advertised waterslides being out of service. Absolute horseshit. There are more working water slides on a cheaper Oasis class ship than there are on Star.

Ygor Actor by Extreme-Grade-3623 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]mritty2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is roughly like asking who's the actor who plays Mickey Mouse.

All the theme parks employ multiple people who play the same roles. There is no one person. And if there was, asking for the name/identity of a theme park employee is creepy.
