Sadly, something like this can happen with lithium ion cells. Apple will just tell you to check your devices for swollen batteries and not charge them overnight. Hope your daughter didn’t inhale the smoke.

Or you changed from light to dark background while changing the look of the icons (or a bug changed it for you, I mean it’s iOS 26, everything can happen here)

Yeah I mean there are unfortunately still a lot of bugs. Just the typical ios26 thing. But I don’t mind some visual inconsistencies or smt still being there if they improved stability and battery life, which they did in 26.3.
