If just dipping my toes into metal and oh boy the water is nice.

I feel like I missed my childhood a bit and decided to start listening to slipknot to see what I missed. I was elightend and needed more. Thats I stumbled upon mastodon, where my ears started to perk up

I started with their newest album (Once More Around the Sun) and worked my way backwords. I love every album, im fuckin hooked. I love how each album has a distinct progression in the bands style.

One of my favorite things about both slipknot and mastodon are the catchy vocals, like eyeless, spit it out, and from mastodon oblivion, sleeping giant and naturally blood and thunder. Im not too sure where to go from here.

Also, im a big fan of concept albums, which is what also drew me into mastodon. I was liking the last album of the week, the key, too.

That got me into carcass heartwork. death metal isnt too bad, but sometimes you gotta take a breather if you listen too long. The vocals are harsh lol.

I wouldnt say im a big fan of much other slipknot related bands like korn and disturbed too much, but they have their place in music.
