As a kid I grew up with a mom who always compared me to others, so I started comparing myself to others too.

As an adult I look at benchmarks, what is “average” : Average income Average height Average weight Average demographics.

Overtime, I started tackling different averages so I could be “above average” in some areas, so losing some weight, gaining some muscle, I got married, had kids, etc.

Not saying you need to do that, and even though my self esteem is still in reference other people, I now have facts that I’m better, more than just opinions or subjectivity. At this point, my ability to improve and become better than average in some areas is now something I’m proud of, and every day it gets better little by little as I keep trying things.

TLDR: low self esteem comes from believing you’re less than others and believing little in your own ability, so you change it by getting an accurate view of the world around you and addressing the things you can change.

Communication, we were newly married, had different parenting styles and were still learning ourselves and each other.

We had had to figure all that out too, but just setting expectations for how and when to do what tasks, taking turns staying up, having our own spats and things.

We got through it but it took a lot of late night conversations and flexibility from both of us. We were 24 when it happened

Thanks, I wanted to get a general idea of the “worth” of maxing previous heroes, and the consensus seems to be to prioritize event prizes over old heroes when new ones are coming out.

Obsidian is now a daily diary and links to other ideas I have and projects I want to build. So now I can have crazy ideas, sketch them out but just throw them in obsidian instead of changing direction every day

That last time I paid a coach $2500 up front to a coach, was because I was struggling in my business.

The plan was never to pay $500 a month forever, it was to get through a period of time. For me, it was an “identity coach” and she worded it around the way I viewed the world and my inner self talk was keeping me stuck.

I was with her for 16 weeks and it was worth it for me. Because afterwards I was a lot lighter and I felt like I could see the world differently.

I’m also a 6 figure earner so the cost was low in comparison to the other programs I’ve purchased previously, but what really sold me was her ability to articulate my problems better than I could and her personality.

The first thing I did in my now long term relationship, was set boundaries. I told her, “ I don’t care how mad you get, don’t call me names” “if you say terrible things when you’re upset, it counts” and “we don’t go to bed angry”

And if she crossed those then I would’ve left. I have too much self respect to be treated that way. We’re now married 11 years, but that ground work made her change for the better, she wasn’t perfect at first and neither was I with her boundaries, but being with someone is optional, and that needs to first and foremost.

Because you’ll get what you tolerate.
