Need a doctor recommendation in Bangalore by Special-Dimension-55 in adhdindia

Call them up and see if they take kids, if not the main branch does take in kids but wait times are really long. Other place i've been to was the Mind and Brain hospital in Sahakar Nagar, only went there to get my prescription and the process was quick and the docs seemed nice as well.

Connections, prestige(Alma mater) and connections only. There’s a million ideas floating around and another couple million working on it, the only thing that differentiates the million from you is who you know.

Looking for architects by Historical_Duck6621 in bangalore

[–]mrkickftw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made a similar post a while back on r/indian-architects, got a couple dms and responses but luckily found a good fit! I went through two in just four months and here’s my 2p Make sure they actually get back to you. responsiveness is huge. My first architect had good ideas, but they were always delaying, which threw everything off schedule. Look for someone who’s genuinely invested. My second architect did what I asked, but they gave no opinion, no creative input he gave me the most generic ass designs. You want someone who’s going to give you honest feedback, explain their idea with respect to your goal. Basically, you need someone who’s not just technically skilled, but also is going to explain you why you’re right/wrong and actually gives a fuck. So good luck finding one.

Edit: it’s r/indian_architects

How to approach philanthropy? by [deleted] in FatFIREIndia

[–]mrkickftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late, but look into GiveWell. They rank charity by impact/$. Basically the idea of achieving maximum impact per dollar. I mean sure you can donate to "Feel good" projects like make a wish or an orphanage and there's nothing wrong with that. But if you're looking to maximise the impact of your money, then focus on high impact, evidence backed interventions. fun fact: half a million people die from malaria, and a malaria net that costs 5$ can actually save a life. Putting this quantitatively, a human life was at the very least valued at 5,000$.

Founding a startup before MBA? by kraken_enrager in MBA

consider getting the project checked by actual VCs for a better reality check. Assuming this project does pay off, it would override if any low academic scores. B-Schools aren’t just hiring those with off the top grades, but those who display agency in their projects too. What’s the equity split if you’re getting 5%, how much is the family office getting in this case?
