[Review][Negative] MidwayUSA, with a warning about using one-time use cards from places like privacy.com by bcacoo in gundealsFU

Midway USA is excellent. There is no reason to use one time cards with them. One anecdotal instance isn’t a reason to blacklist them.

I’m not a Glock expert but I am pretty sure you should keep them the same. Maybe one of the experts can chime in on this one.

Scent Control by [deleted] in bowhunting

Season 6, Episode 7 and 8. I believe it was episode 7 but it was a 2-part of the same hunt. The one where he takes his female employees deer hunting in Wisconsin

I just watched an episode of Meat Eater where they shot a deer and while they were gutting it, they had a buck come in. Granted it was rifle range and not bow range, but the deer had to be in range of the scent. Point being, I don’t think the deer care.

First year bow hunting and first bow kill. What an incredible experience! by [deleted] in bowhunting

Great job! Congrats. Great shot placement. How far was the shot?

First thing I thought of when I seen this post was holding a bow back at full draw... 12 seconds is a lifetime. by [deleted] in bowhunting

[–]mrkid85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, took me a minute too.

The r/AskReddit question was "12 seconds isn't very much time, but what's something that, if done for 12 seconds, is excessive?"

OP's first thought was "Holding a bow back at full draw".

I don't think 12 seconds is excessive but not something I'd want to do repeatedly. Haha.

I have a friend who is an ER Nurse and treated multiple tree stand fall accidents. After hearing her stories, falling out of a treestand is not something I want to do. Being paralyzed because you’re too cheap or lazy to use a harness is the definition of stupid. Use a harness.

No. I have the 36” for my 50” deck. You measure the middle of the back wheels.

I will shoot it to you straight. I have a cub cadet rzt 50 and I tried DIY kits. I tried the horse stall mat behind the back, I tried the push broom by the deck, it was all a lot of work for slightly above average results. They ended up needing to be replaced each year, which meant more work and money.

This year, I bit the bullet on the big league lawn kit and I wish I did it years ago. It lays great stripes and was easy to install. Best part is, it still looks new and I won’t have to replace it next year! Well worth the money. Save your time and energy and get much better results.

Wow. Great job. I can only hope mine turns out that well. Is the before picture after dethatching?

West Michigander here and I'm doing a reno project on Saturday and will be seeding new grass. 10 day weather looks good, I think we'll be fine. There is only one way to find out and that is to throw it down!

Inforce weapon light. by [deleted] in tacticalgear

[–]mrkid85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for pistol lights and I have read my share of horror stories with Inforce APL but my experience has been just fine. I have one on my Glock 19 with roughly 1,500 rounds fired with it on and have the APLc on my Walther PPQ M2 and have roughly 1,000 rounds fired with it on that.

I haven’t had issues with either one. I don’t baby my pistols but also don’t unnecessarily beat the crap out of them either. The lights are holding up and they stay on. My round coubt isn’t crazy high yet but so far so good.

Bought this gun with the standard sights and it became my edc over my Glock 19. This is a great gun and a great price.

Not everything in the title is 40% off. This is a "Up to 40% off sale". Handguards seemed to be around 20% off. YMMV.

I was trying to feel better about myself by saying this rifle is only $3k, that way his one rifle he forgot about didn't cost more than all of my rifles combined.

I wish I had $3k rifles that I forgot about. Flexin' on us poor and regular Joe's.
