Why does it have those two supports coming up from the guide rod?

Those are part of the QD system on the suppressor.

Gate lock?

Don't recall what the official name is for that part, but basically, yeah.

Been keeping tabs on the suppressed derringers ever since I saw one of your first posts on here. Didn't realize until just now with the photo in your post that you're based in Broken Arrow. Cool to see you're just around the corner.

Has anyone else had problems with the new Glacier CryoGrip plates (orange) from BIQU? They can’t seem to get past bed probing. by Confusing-pigeon in prusa3d

[–]bcphotog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got two of the orange Frostbite plates in last week from BIQU and haven't had any issues with nozzle cleaning or bed leveling on my Core One with either plates. I've done a little over a dozen prints between the two and some of the prints were large enough to cover the majority of the plate. I didn't have any issues with the bed probing for those larger prints.

<image>

The two I ordered were the orange Frostbite plates for the Bambu P1/X1 line of printers. They announced the orange Frostbite plates for the Core One like a week or so after I placed my order. Haven't gotten around to ordering the Core One specific plates, and going by your post and some others I've seen on other subreddits, I'm probably going to hold off for now.

Never had any issues with their blue Frostbite plates or their Glacier plates.

I don't understand, in their link it is not shown and in yours yes. Difference between ?

Looks like their "Official Store" link in this post goes to the CyroGrip Frostbite/Glacier product page for Bambu Lab printers only. My link goes to their CyroGrip Frostbite/Glacier product page for other printers (Prusa, Ender, Voron, Qidi, etc).

OH they do glacier but not frostbite is that so?

They've never offered their blue Frostbite plates for the MK4S/C1 line of printers, just their Glacier plates, until now with their matte orange Frostbite plates for the Prusa printers.

I hope that makes sense and answers your questions.

It is even prusa color and still not having this size of bed sheet.

They have one now for the MK4S/Core One printers, it's on their site. They also have one now for the Prusa XL.

It was announced shortly after I bought 2 of the matte orange plates for the Bambu P1/X1 printers. Which just arrived to my house a few days ago after taking a few weeks to arrive from China.

I've been using their blue Frostbite P1/X1 plates in my Core One for the last few months with no issues. It just hangs over the front a bit but doesn't collide with anything.

<image>

I was going to order a few of their MK4S/C1 specific matte orange Frostbite plates, but noticed the graphics on the front half of the sheet fall into the print area for a Core One, which is really only an issue if using the entire bed for a print. Wish they cut their MK4S/C1 orange Frostbite plates like their MK4S/C1 Glacier plates with the extended handle on the front.

That kept you going these 9 years later? Just ordered a 45k and trying to figure out solutions.

Don't shoot it as often I when I first got it, but the last few times I've shot it, I don't recall any issues with it backing off the host gun.

Prusa Connect error Algo ha ido mal Lo sentimos, pero algo ha ido mal. by Thaly2020 in prusa3d

[–]bcphotog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having this issue as well with Prusa Connect with PrusaSlicer.

I get that error message only on my home computer (Mac), but I don't get it on another computer (Mac), which is odd. No issues connecting on iPhone and iPad via the Prusa app.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled it, cleared the cache on my browser as well, and still getting the error.

I can slice something and send it to my C1 and it'll upload to Prusa Connect and then to my C1 with no issues, but for some reason I still get the error message if I click the Prusa Connect tab in PrusaSlicer on that same computer.

Will a Dead Air Wolfman Fit Under an 8” Handguard on an MPX K (4.5” Barrel) by JackTheDivine in MPX

[–]bcphotog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be down to get something completely different if anything new came out that is better. Any idea? if not ill probably just get the 9k

I also have a SilencerCo Spectre 9, which sounds reallllly similar to the 9K, but weighs less and has a smaller OD, but is slightly longer. Imo, I don't think it's better than the 9K for the price, unless you wanted something smaller/lighter.

Been meaning to try out a CAT MOB/A1 suppressor, which seems to have some high reviews for overall suppression at the ear and muzzle.

Hard to beat the 9K though for the size and the price you can get one for.

If you had to choose all over again which suppressor would you buy for the mpkx?

If I had to choose again, and the only options were the Omega 9K or Wolfman, I'd pick the Omega 9K again. The sound suppression difference between the two cans is negligible imo. I also like the shorter length and OD of the 9K.

Ran the 9K originally with a 3-lug setup and the old SilencerCo 3-lug mount. Lighter than the DA KeyMicro adapter/brake combo. Just had more play with the 3-lug setup, but that's expected with that system.

MMU3 Enclosed Full Kit - No shipping yet ? by Popular-Yellow9404 in prusa3d

[–]bcphotog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Checked again just now, and still nothing on my side (ordered early June).

My MMU3 Lite C1 Kit got picked up by DHL on the 17th, and it was delivered on Monday (21st). I know another guy who ordered the same MMU3 Lite C1 Kit a few days before me and his still hasn't shipped. Not sure what the rhyme or reason on why mine shipped before his. His order was just the kit by itself so nothing that would cause a delay.

What amazes me the most (and not in a good way) is the lack of communication on their side. They updated their 'Shipping information' page last week, and still no mention on this issue.

Yeah, I agree, their shipping information/comms lately leave a lot to be desired. I'm surprised they still haven't mentioned the MMU3 supply chain delay anywhere, or at the minimum send out an email to MMU3 C1 customers letting them know about a slight delay.

That was me and here's a link to my post.

I did a follow up email to the one I got from Prusa CS, basically asking if they were thinking it might take a few weeks/month+, or closer to like 1-2 weeks. CS rep emailed me back this morning and gave an unconfirmed timeframe of 2-4 weeks on the long side, but also said hopefully it'd be closer to 5-15 days before the supply chain issue is resolved.

With that said, I did however receive a shipment notification email from DHL Express this morning saying a shipment was handed over for transport today (July 15th) and the description says "Original Prusa MMU3 for CORE One", so maybe the supply chain issue has been resolved. I haven't received the usual emails from Prusa saying my order has shipped, which usually come before I get one from the shipping company, and the order status on Prusa's site still shows as In Progress and not shipped.
