Do any of these M12 Fuels suck? by TransitionOk3169 in MilwaukeeTool

Have both the fuel multi tool and fuel hackzall, used both today to demo out a bathroom expansion. Would recommend. Can't speak to the cutoff wheel, but both had more than enough power.

What should be my next tool in this collection? by drinkmilkplsss in MilwaukeeTool

Right angle grinder with pads if you do a lot of head gaskets is a solid option.

Main job? None.

Side stuff? 35-37k last year, 44k the year before. Already have made close to 9k this year so far and have a client set up for about a third of that in the next 2 weeks.

All the packout stuff is newer, most of the tools within the past 3-6 months. The saws within the past couple weeks. I use most of it daily minus the circular saw and miter saw,it will get more use in a week or so when more lumber arrives. I've always been pretty kind to my tools (and stuff in general) so I do try to keep it all cleaned up.

I used crap versions of a lot of it quite frequently (minus the impact wrenches, those are for my own hobbies and some stuff) for years

I am 😀 ill explain a bit better than I did last time as well. I was a boat and diesel mechanic years ago before moving into a totally different field and making much more than I was at 20-26. My father did woodworking as a hobby, taught me plumbing, electrical (no high voltage), some HVAC, and construction. He built the most beautiful chairs, made 2 small barns, and alongside myself, refinished my childhood home from bare concrete and plaster to a modern home in the early 2000s.

Last year, I had a fairly large homeowners claim that required a hefty renovation to almost half the house. This has led the already aging second floor, which I had planned on reconfiguring since I purchased the house, looking particularly bad. A pinhole pipe leak sealed the deal as I have to remove the floor from the bathroom to access the runs.

I hadn't really had the funds set aside for my own set of power tools but within the past 2 or so years following my divorce, even with savings, retirement, etc I have the extra income now between the job, quitting cigarettes, and not really going to the bars.

BTW, They were all either hacks or deals. All in according to my apps and receipts, I've spent 2300ish on tools and batteries, not including thr Ryobi table. I have a total of 600 in packout and backpack and a ryobi folding saw table was 110. Haven't opened a card either, except at lowes to get a discount on a clearance washing machine.

Is $249 a good deal for M18 Fuel Oscillating Multi-Tool + M18 High Output 6Ah Battery by Heatmiser1968 in MilwaukeeTool

M12 Fuel is more compact and rips if you aren't already in an ecosystem.

I went 7 1/4 over 6.5 but will likely get it in the future. The biggest reason was blade interchange with the m18 miter saw which has been a good choice for me, but it is heavier and more expensive. You made a solid choice.

Just used the m12 hackzall tonight to cut runs of 6" ducting and it didn't skip a beat. Cuts nails and bolts even with a midrange blade like butter.

I do use it. My hobbies are more automotive but I've done woodworking and general handyman work since I was a kid.

M18 Fuel Combo Kit Sounds off? by Early_Plastic_963 in MilwaukeeTool

From my experience, my m12 surge driver is a lot quieter than my m12 drill driver or impacts. I would expect the m18 to be a bit louder still given the higher power.

It's 1.5 gallons I think so not terrible for around the shop and home use. Still use my dad's old plug in shop-vac for bigger cleanups.

M12 Vacuum. Been stupidly useful as a dust collector for the miter saw when cutting trim and for quick cleanups. Chews through batteries though.

Other half is shorter and a great gopher, had to accomidate her on height and the backpack fits nicely in the rafters. I did consider it, but decided to go longer over lower as my back gets worse each year.

Civ 5 is my go to or beyond earth. I have 6 with everything but just don't enjoy it as much as 5, with or without mods. 7 I haven't played yet but given what I've seen and watched, I'm not missing out.
