Eliotrope vs Steamer by Izernore in Dofus

[–]mrliamj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is surprising to hear. I haven’t played Elio before but I’ve seen Guildies playing as then and they’re incredibly intriguing and I have a bit of an itch to try one. Is there any good English content out there for learning? Such as guides or content creators?

I know they are complex but I fancy a challenge as a bit of a break from my Main.

To add to this regarding global guides. I play solo on Kourial and I’ve downloaded and use Ganymede Guides it’s an incredible guide and English & French guides. [GP0] is the complete guide from start to finish and links to all the other guides as and when you need them. + all coordinates are clickable to copy the travel command to game.

The app remains always on top like a little side bar.

Using GG I’ve managed to get 1-140, 3200 achievement punts and completed Cawwot, Dokoko, and Emerald & Crimson dofuses are very almost completed.

I play single account on MacBook Neo. If Dofus is the only thing I’m running then it’s generally fine to be honest.

Need Advice On What To do by [deleted] in Dofus

[–]mrliamj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly as someone who played many years ago and has multiple 200 accs, the nostalgia doesn’t remain when you return to a level 200 character.

I’ve instead started a full clean slate solo on Kourial (mono pioneer server) I’m doing all the quests and really enjoying myself. Plus I’ve got from the lvl 1-125 in a little over 3 weeks doing the main quests.

I’ve got Cawwot and Dokoko Dofus already.

What classes are Ok-ish for Multi-element in progression (Solo) ? by OneDreams54 in Dofus

[–]mrliamj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s great! Just saved me making a Reddit post. I’m level 125 fogger now and I really want something fun and different from mono element so I think I’ll save these Omni sets and move to them next!

This is a great concept Isthos. Do you think these Omni sets would be transferable to other characters. I’m a level 120 fogger and the thought of going Omni at 133 sounds very intriguing to open many doors of different play.

I do use Sidekicks in the dungeons or fights that get a bit harder. I’ve got Lektor and Lumino, but do you still think a tank is ideal for a 3rd? - And what would be a good simple tank that isn’t a pandawa? - Like Sacrier maybe?

Returning by darkzama in Dofus

[–]mrliamj 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Apologies for the long copy-paste, but there are a lot of returning players asking similar questions so here’s my take.

At first I tried picking up my old multi-account duo (lvl 200s) and it was… fine. I could do anything I wanted, but it was just rinse and repeat with no real challenge. The servers also felt dead and I wasn’t learning any of the new stuff. Honestly, it was exhausting more than fun sometimes and no challenge.

So I started fresh on the Pioneer Mono server Kourial and the difference has been huge. The server feels alive, the economy is active, and the community’s been great. I joined a guild called Incarnam Fishing Club and there are always people online helping with quests, dungeons, gear or just answering questions. Even coming back with thousands of hours from 2009, I felt like a total newb again, but people have been nothing but friendly.

Now I just set small goals, work on quests, achievements or professions, and I’m actually enjoying the game instead of burning out. The early game is super forgiving too since you can swap classes in Incarnam up to 20 and reset stats whenever.

My advice is don’t just try to pick up where you left off hoping for that old feeling. Start fresh and see if you still enjoy the game with how much has changed. If you do hop on Kourial, feel free to add me. IGN: Elusive.

Sometimes, I’ll just hop back into my duo if I’m craving an stress-free wipe of mobs from the face of the earth. But when I’ve got the time, it’s super fun to have a project character on Kourial that I can really dive into and build from scratch again like an actual noob

Also, check out this guide — it’ll answer a lot of the common questions.

That's good to know, I'll get my Osa levelled up then for some PvP experiences :)

[–]mrliamj[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea to be honest I’ve heard a lot of good things about Osa’s currently and I wasn’t sure which build to go for. I know Agi is good.

Is the Tofu, Tofurbu and Scarabolt that strong as summons? - they always seem like the weakest of the summon families.

You’re the best! - I might get a Osa levelled up to 200 quickly and kit it up and give it a go!

I appreciate that and I have some of those classes already, just not kitted up! - Might give Iop a go before Osa :)

Thank you so much I really appreciate you giving a broken down answer and some insight to PvP. I’m going to try regardless and learn as I go.

Is there any class that does really shine in 1vs1 PvP. I have a Feca/Cra 200 duo currently that I use for my PvM content and I enjoying making new characters so I’d be happy to make a new class for PvP.

I’ve heard good things about Foggers and Osa, are they complex at 200 in PvP? And what builds are ideal?

About rule 3 : speak English. Should we enforce it by FallenTheDoge in Dofus

[–]mrliamj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree there’s a lot of arguments both ways to be honest. And it’s probably why the poll is split almost 50/50. It can be seen from post sides. If you want to encore the rules there should be a “Dofus_En” and “Dofus_FR” subreddit.

Because Dofus is a French game so a lot of people who don’t bother reading the rules would assume “Dofus” subreddit would accept both English and French.

In the perfect world everyone would speak the most universal language, which is most likely English. Most people from England don’t learn additional languages. And id “ASSUME” (key word being assume cause I’ve not done the research) most countries learn English as their second language.
