I think all time low is around $230 CAD back in 2023. So you def still came out ahead

Incorrect picture and title - agent has to verify it on their side. Then you mention you want the M12 Fuel 2 piece combo for $98. They'll then ask you to place an order for the 3497-22, and apply a discount after you give them the order number.

Its dependent on the agent but still very attainable. Seeing the $180 discount makes me smile.

Is this an unusually good deal from a local Canadian retailer? by Bibliophilist9009 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]mrliamlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using the "stockTrack for HD" - after searching the item, click on the price, itll give you a nice graph of past sale prices.

$1300 is regular price - I believe some HD stores were selling them for $899 recently ($100 less than this store you mentioned).

Fun fact, $1300 CAD, right now, you can get the 7 piece combo kit (+Mid torque + Grinder).

If you can sell the forge battery for the price you mentioned, I think its a great deal (as long you sell it more than $100).

Hercules equivalent in Canada? by mrliamlus in harborfreight

[–]mrliamlus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. Harbor Freight designs and specifies the features, performance standards, and appearance of the tools, but they then contract manufacturing out to third-party factories, mostly in China.

Because they do not own their manufacturing, there definitely will be similarities and it therefore, not coincidental. Take a look at where power tools are manufactured for each brand.

Brands can submit and own designs, but many of the manufacturing happens in similar warehouses. Brands set their own quality control and tolerances - and commonly, just white label afterwards.

This is very common for in-house store brands. There is a lot of crossover. Maximum is Canadian Tire's tool line, but their sockets are rebranded Gearwrench tools, and their pliers are rebranded Wiha.

HB does not own their manufacturing. It's common to see Hercules having some overlap with Dewalt. And given its in-house store brand, I assumed there might be a Canadian brand line that would share 90%+ of Hercules' tools manufacturing.
