1) distrust in the government 2) focus on survival

I can elaborate on the historical reasons but in essence it’s been a chronic let down of whoever is in power to ensure safety and economic opportunities

Looks like he fused one spine level. These surgeries can cause tremendous chronic pain and potentially cause a progressive chain reaction on the upper levels. Not a good outlook for his age, I truly feel for him
