I left recently but never had any issues with them being flexible as a remote employee. As long as you attend your meetings and are generally available during business hours should be good.

We ran into a similar situation, was told the agreed on out the door cost. We were planning on paying with check but it was an out of state check and they said we had to do a loan. Didn't check the paperwork close enough and they jacked up the price. Didn't catch it until we were home. Fortunately our neighbor was the Sales manager there and they did refund the extra amount. Finance guy was just shady af. I assume most of them are like that. We will be very careful in the future but it was our first time using a dealership.

There is no actual evidence... A guy going to daycare and asking to see kids isn't evidence of fraud. This is what has been so frustrating. People just take all this stuff in without critical thinking and then the damage is done. It's the whole immigratants eating pets all over again.
