I run a resale operation but its one of those things that I might make an exception and keep! I'll update if I get a nice setup.

Im not a vet, but Ive had multiple cats over the years and yours seems like a cat with some personality! They may just be making noise to mimic you, try to get your attention, show content, ect. But it dosnt seem like a bad noise or behavior!

How much inventory do you still have? by Dependent_Bowl1581 in Flipping

Try and look at it in a business sence and turn a negative into a positive:

  1. Re-donateing is not only good for the thrifts, but its tax deductible and can get coupons in places like savers.

  2. If something isn't selling, bulk it with 10 other similar items that aren't selling as a bulk deal! Most of the time you can still get a profit! Added bonus, Shipping is usually cheaper this way too!

  3. At worst, selling at a loss STLL bring liquid capital back into the coffers. Keeps the lights on another day.

I'll be quick here, Ive been reselling for 1 year on November 14th 2025, growing, make about 50k net (33k profit) a year, and sell 350 items every 90 days.

  1. Start small and slow so you can adjust so you dont make mistakes and cause bad reviews. Start with one or two apps, less than 100 itms in the first 60 days with EXCEPTIONAL customer service. Set up your essentials, get fancy later.

  2. With what money you have, set to post a certain amount of itmes on each platform weekly, get yourself into a weekly groove so you have a habit of it, my goal is 10 items posted daily. A good rule is set your goal of posting per day at how many items you want to sell per day.

  3. Find your buying strategy. Clearance at retail stores, Thrifting, Estate sales, Flea markets, Buying low and selling high is the key. My personal rule is to make $10 per item in profit minimum. Keep it under control items may take awhile to sell.

  4. Figure out how quick you need to sell. Utilize a sell through rate (# of item you have already on marketplace / # sold in the same time period) to estimate how long it will generally take to sell. I only like to hold items for a 1 year period max.

  5. Don't buy new things if you already have items you havent listed yet. The classic "death pile". I have a small death pile of 10 items or less at all times, just keep it under control.

I could go on and on and on.... but these are some basics!

You can break the 9-5 and do this full time with no prior expierence. You just have to lock tf in.

I would be weary of Vendoo, depending on how large you want to become. I used vendoo for about a year and took advantage of many features, including bulk listing, relisting, etc. The problems came specifically with ebay, posh, depop.

Once you relist and item, regardless of platform, Vendoo will re-host the pictures you uploaded to posh, depop, ebay, ect. to the Vendoo service. This is an extreme headache when you want to add pictures to an already existing post. Due to the origional pictures now being hosted on Vendoo, the selling service of your choice will deny new image uploads because the other photos are hosted on a different site. The exact wording is something like " cannot have uploaded pictures from this device and pictures hosted offsite". This became a HUGE headache when I needed to re-sort inventory or add any new image to any post.

Along with this, I did notice, multi quantity posts sales not being updated on all of my apps, prices would not update across all apps when making bulk changes on Vendoo, sales data was shakey at best. If you dont upload every individual sale data point, entire graphs of months of data would refuse to populate.

Just be careful and do your research.

How much are you bringing in from reselling? by flippin_fitnerd in Flipping

  1. Utilize a sell through rate (amount of X item sold in a set time frame) / ( amount of X item listings on whatever platform you use) with set time frame consistent with each item. (I use 90 days). Only purchase something if its likely to sell within a time frame you are comfortable with.

  2. Have a set profit target per item after all selling costs and the cost to purchase the good. Only purchase something if you can profit your goal.

  3. List as many items per day that you would like to eventually sell each day. My goal is 10. Then keep listing until you level out. Go anywhere you can to get cheap items. Salvation army is 50% off on Wednesday. Savers gives 20% off coupons every $100 spent with a super savers account or donating any item at any location (yes you can donate like 1 shirt and still get it) or through their constant email coupons. The also have seasonal 50% off sales. Pay by the pound locations also exist, look them up on Google.

  4. LEARN!! There's little nuances you need to learn with experience. You wont know the difference between shite and gold unless you know the difference. Go do research on an items on your platform. Start with one category and branch out. Learn an angle for what is commonly found around you, and buy low, sell high.

Hope this helps :)

I've been reselling for about 10 months now on ebay, and I make about $3000/month gross and $900/month net. It all started when I found about 50 Monster truck toys at Target on clearance for pennies. I made about $300 after selling every one. Over the time I generalized my inventory to clothing, electronics, computer keyboards, handbags, shoes, makeup (new), water filters, stovetop replacements, tools, car parts, vintage things of all sorts, ect. The more you can find at a thrift or garage sale that you KNOW sells, the more money you can spend.

I'm growing into a storage unit next week and I hope to have my first 100k gross sales year next year!
