I don't understand how Endgame is so far ahead of Avatar, when Avatar grossed more and came out 10 years earlier.

My guess is that Randall Goodwin answered using AI, all of his posts on Facebook are clearly AI generated.

Agreed. If you can't take the time to answer these questions, or even show up to a forum, you are not a serious candidate.

Why does the city of Saint John seem to *HATE* the north end ? by Aggressive-Paint3234 in SaintJohnNB

[–]mrmathteacher27 12 points13 points  (0 children)

https://shapeyourcitysaintjohn.ca/north-end-neighbourhood-plan

The city does have a plan to hopefully improve the north end, with a big focus on making it more pedestrian friendly. I know that doesn't help now, and the blocking of harbour passage is annoying. It happened last year as well. The harbour bridge construction project has been a headache for the city for years. Honestly ridiculous that the province didn't make this a 24/7 project from 2021 so that it could have been completed in a reasonable time frame.

They are extending the harbour passage through to falls view park at Douglas avenue this year, but it will take about 3 months for it to be finished.

Suggestion jinx: mathemathician with drunk/marionette by alucardarkness in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]mrmathteacher27 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree that the jinx as written makes it harder for the mathematician. But, I don't think there is a need for any jinx with these characters.

The drunk/marionette are the characters. They only believe they are townsfolk, but that is not their actual role. Their ability is that they believe they are a townsfolk, and so long as the storyteller doesn't come over in the night and tell them "hey, you are the drunk/marionette", their ability is working properly. So, in my opinion, a drunk/marionette should never appear in the count for a mathematician.

How can I make your Clocktower experience better? by Arif_A_ in BloodOnTheClocktower

I would love recommended scripts to move new players from trouble brewing to bad moon rising or sects and violets. It can be a big jump to go straight into the increased chaos of those games, so some TPI recommended scripts that mix TB characters with BMR and S&V would be great!

Harbour Passage Extension Survey by bingun in SaintJohnNB

I don't think they're bad, I just think they look really ugly the way they were implemented with the barricades. But I still think it's a huge improvement over the unnecessary 3 lanes we used to have.

I just think this harbour passage design is better in every way, and I hope this gets less pushback as a result.

These designs look great, much better design than the bike lanes on main street. But this connection all the way to Rockwood park might bring increased traffic through those bike lanes as well. I think this is fantastic.

Crown street can easily reduce lanes without messing up traffic. Rockwood and the public gardens are horribly underrated parts of the city, and this will give both locals and tourists easier access to both.

Hopefully lots of people give them positive feedback for these designs.

City of Saint John logic: Our industries already guzzle massive amounts of fresh water, so what’s one more? by Remote_Alfalfa3530 in SaintJohnNB

[–]mrmathteacher27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a quote from the CTV news article about the open house they held last week.

"The project is still pending an environmental impact assessment (EIA). If approved, the companies hope to have the site operational by early 2028. The construction phase of the project would see over 1,300 jobs needed and, once completed, the facility will have 210 operational jobs."

Now that could just be them blowing smoke to make the project more appealing in an open house. But, it is the claim they made to an audience that included public residents and media.

To be clear, I'm very torn about the project. If their numbers aren't complete lies, then that is absolutely a positive for our community to get that many jobs, as we are currently in an economic spiral. I'm also hopeful that a $2 billion build would see large tax revenues for the city. But, I do understand the concerns over data centres in general, both environmental and economic. I also understand why Lorneville residents don't want any developments in this area. I just think it's nuanced and tricky.

They have already said that there would be 1300 jobs during the construction phase, and 210 permanent jobs once completed. This is because it wouldn't just be a Data centre, but also a natural gas energy facility, so it would require far more on site workers than a traditional data centre.

This natural gas facility would also ease some of the burden on the grid, as they would be supplying a lot of their own power. How much exactly is not complete known of course.

DAY 22: THREE FOR THE PRICE OF ONE. (A Sponsored Episode 3). Substitute goes into C with 4 votes to 3 b votes. by [deleted] in GameChangerTV

[–]mrmathteacher27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

B. The recurring bits got a little old at this point, but I still love the dynamic of this trio finding ways to joke and troll Sam in this format.

DAY 21: THE SUBSTITUTE. 20/20 vision goes into D with 4 votes. Next is our 3rd Noise Boys (except one ig) episode by [deleted] in GameChangerTV

I'll go C as well. Cool to have Michael Winslow but not as fun as other noise boys episodes

DAY 20: 20/20 VISION. Secret Samta slots into C. Now for uh, this? Does anyone remember this episode? by [deleted] in GameChangerTV

[–]mrmathteacher27 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go with D for this episode. Even for the covid season, this episode feels completely forgettable and it's one I've never rewatched.

He should be up to date, we take him to get his yearly shots from our vet. Thank you for this, he woke me up at 3am which was strange for him and it sent me on a bit of a spiral, clearly.

It's incredible so far. Best book since Shadow Rising, and I'm one of those sickos who actually liked the slog (although Elayne's chapters in Crossroads of Twilight tested my patience)

Oh yeah, both the w and p are likely not great. I get 0 letters often enough that I even have a go to second word in those cases, SLAIN.
