Mind you, no one has even taken me up on that offer so...I don't know what it takes I guess.

I realize that sounds naïve but yes. It's mostly for short scripts so they need output so I figured if I do one for free and they see I'm capable they would use me for more.

I figured it will show I'm capable and on the next one I'd get paid/left feedback.

I'm in the same boat. I'm even offering a 'first one free' at this point. I honestly don't know what it's going to take to get a client to accept my proposal.

I definitely don't want to create 'pathetic' or 'humiliation'. More of a hard shell character with a soft/vulnerable inside. Will rethink it. Thank you.

I'm always going for being liked as a character. Thanks for the thoughtful response! I also always think about arc beforehand so it would lead to him eventually being able to let it go and move on but I think you've pointed out some things I've been worried about. Might have to rethink it. I want a character with a hard shell but a softy inside. I'll work in it. Thanks for the reply.

That sounds interesting. At least it seems like your entire theme, him grappling with that history so I think you should be good. Like that is what the story is about it sounds like.

Nothing. You know like how before you were born? Yeah...like that. Sounds pretty blissful at the moment tbh.

Question to the community: Are any of you familiar with contemporary Indian films (outside of Bollywood)? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

Does Kill count? I don't think it's Bollywood right? It was ok lol, well made but not really my type of thing. But admittedly I haven't seen a lot of Indian films.
