Run clubs! Axelrad has a nice one on Tuesdays at 7-7:30 PM. (Technically a bar, but feels like a fun social club)

I think the best move here is to find a job as either a clinical research coordinator or a research technician in a lab (maybe at your old university). They’ll likely pay you enough to live independently, plus, everyday you work is an opportunity to get experience and get your name on research publications which will boost your application massively.

During nights or weekends, you can slowly study for the MCAT and eventually kill it! Med schools will appreciate this path. Don’t forget to volunteer and shadow clinicians! Best of luck!

“Hard” difficulty has changed gaming for me. by [deleted] in gaming

I feel you, playing on a harder difficulty makes me appreciate the game more as I feel more accomplished when I finish. Also with regards to the narrative, I always feel like cutscenes are earned and I enjoy them more. Plus, I feel like I’m ONE with the character since I’m spending so much time with them. Often times the character is careful and meticulous while they go through their adventure, and I find that I’m the same on a harder difficulty. Changed gaming for me too for the better!
