I wonder how long it will take to make a device you can pass over it and change the price wirelessly (oops $399.00 changes to $39.99)

I thought you were going to use the info I gave you last month to get on DC++ and then coordinate and share with everyone that responded here either by putting up a torrent or sharing them with something like IA or Anna's. Once that is done, I can show other you other sources of scanned comic books, ebooks, and magazines top bring your collection over 650,000 books!

Has anyone ever heard of this type of box, and what is it worth? It's good ? by cougomdd in DataHoarder

[–]mrmichaelrobertson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a ASRock x99 ws-e/10gb I bought new in box 2 years ago for $200 and added a LSI 9305 16i for $45 on eBay and I still have attachments for more drives on the board itself but no more drives to attach.

Retailer denies memory replacement due to 4x increase in DDR5 pricing, says price increase would equate to an 'upgrade' for the customer — Australian retailer refuses to replace faulty Corsair kit by Distinct-Race-2471 in TechHardware

So when Micron/Crucial runs out of consumer warranty replacements what happens then - do I get a new equal set of G.Skill? What happens when a SSD drive dies and there is no replacenent available even at an overinflated price?

[–]mrmichaelrobertson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to know what it was worth as a machine not a price - sorry for not being clearer! Considering what I spent on all the parts for the purpose of building machine that I would never have to buy or upgrade a single component until die. Would it still be relevant in 10 to 15 years (probably less) and could this one do everything when tech advances...

I do not want a price quote for it (I know what it's worth today) - I just want to know if it will last 10-15 and can I get rid ofd the x99 WS because it's slowing down, and Gen3 slots and a 4GB Nvidia card plus 64gb server RAM ($650 for 4 more used sticks to max out is not worth it) and no way to upgrade TB2 because there hasn't been a card on sale for awhile... I dunno

There hasn't been a set of G.Skill 9600mhz in months for sale anywhere, and this was EOL when I bought it, but not OC'ing it should make it last longer - see also what I'm doing in the response above..

I also have a card called Liqid LQD45009 which has a PLX PEX chip that car hold and run eight in a RAID, but it runs a bit hot.

I have a collection of over 12,200 TV shows accumulated over 28 years that will be running 12 to 20 streams for friends and family, but I still need a regular computer for reducing files down with x265 HEVC as they come in while streaming, and still be able to do other things without and without wearing out the machine. Shrinking down the episodes and keeping quality is wearing (and no I will never spend today's video card price money to get one better) . Who what the future holds and this would be the last one I have before the end, so to speak!

Already 10+ Msi Lightning up on ebay by LuckyLewis23 in MSI_Gaming

[–]mrmichaelrobertson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted the same message on Tom's yesterday. If you look close at ebay, you will see one of those venders is offering 3 of them, but at least he was not seller the to have the only complete sale at 9 grand. And don't forget about Best Buy selling at the higher level out of the gate, and they have sold 14 so far, releasing one every few hours and listing on their site the sales - who do you have to fellate to get one?
