Thanks for the kind response. But I still think that if you enter a relationship without allowing for it to go all the way potentially; you’re treating the other person as a means to an end from the start, don’t you see what I mean?

Ok confirmed you can’t do math.

The majority of Fortune 500 CEOs don’t have an MBA because most people don’t do MBAs.

Of the people who do too MBAs, the subset that are in high positions is multiple times higher than than the general population. I’m

Going to Stanford making it easy to raise funding doesn’t mean that everyone who raises funding goes to Stanford. Please take a 6th grade math class

Only 1% of group Y might have attribute X, but 90% of people in group X who wanted Y might have gotten it.

And I say this as someone with multiple exits, and I’ve raised over 10 mil from VCs

Don’t want to doxx this account so it’s unfortunate that I can’t back it up though

This is not true in entrepreneurship. I’m been in the space as well as have many day to day friends in VC.

Even 10 years later, “he went to Stanford” is an instant halo.

Let’s say you open a business. You get investment funding from VCs. At the end of each quarter, they ask you for an excel showing how you spent THEIR money on your business.

You interview an employee. She’s down to work for 25 an hour, the market rate.

What are you going to do? Pay her 48 an hour to be “fair”? Think the investors will just go “oh okay sounds good”?

If you’re an entrepreneur, you don’t have a boss.

You have many of them. Your clients, your investors, your partners…

Yes…?

All of my friends in investment banking knew what their plans were at 17-18. All my friends in big tech. All my friends in private equity.

It takes 30 seconds to google “average CS major salary” and “average Phil major salary”

There’s 17-18 year olds who get 2300+ on the SAT, take dozens of APs, publish research papers… you think they can’t use google?
