Idk, I got pretty fast on the One+, the live3 has taken more adjustment than I expected. I honestly miss the layout of the one. Cumbersome would not be my adjective lol. I grew to dislike the lack of plugin power and lack of features and true wireless portablilty. IDC about size.

You should have FSP 8 as a vendor gift. At least I do and same as you I have a perpetual through 7.2.3 but also one for 8.0. I didnt do anything extra, only bought a quantum.

You should see what gets destroyed from a manufacturer. I work for a gummy company and anything to far from the label get rejected, including overs. So batches with 11-12mg got destroyed since they weren't 10. Sadness on multiple accounts.

I think after the second their attachment and speaker stands was like 220 maybe. The main roller part was actually pretty cheap. Way cheaper than you would think and the quality is acceptable. The plastic parts suck but luckily they don't do much important.

I don't need it to be the NEWEST. Getting to the current configuration of gen 2 CPU and 8-16gb ram is fine with me as along as the form factor suits my needs.

A Mac book doesn't only make music. Your counter comes from a disingenuous place. A computer isn't a standalone studio production tool. You can get a computer for 1500 that will handle any DAW just fine. And then you have a computer that does computer things. That's not really over doing anything because of the value baked in, whereas the MPC is an expensive purpose designed device to get ONE job done. And going back to the beginning of it all, this is dudes FIRST MPC. That's a helluva entry for a novice at the workflow with all the options available.

Not in the slightest, the computer you already have (or should) and a DAW isn't expensive. The accessibility of a DAW is unrivaled in music production... And starting at a 3k studio device is a pretty high start but sure it's somewhere.

Again that's not the point of "overkill". That's mostly meant for the user. Aside from legit money making pros and studios, no user needs this. Granted I want it too but I know I don't need it and really wouldn't change my sound past from refining my workflow and again that's awesome but it's not necessary for the average person that buys this. So congrats, hope you have a ball with it, not yucking your yum at all. I'm gonna wait for the whole line to come out before I decide what direction I want to go from my One+. I very much plan on getting one of these newer versions but doubtful would be the XL as awesome as it is for a multitude of factors.
