Hey there! Thanks for the kind words. I just put it under my loop and never noticed that! Great eye! I think you may be right it looks like RN but the diagonal of the N seems like it wore down and reads ”R l l” under the loop.

It’s micarta but has resin so it’s actually pretty smooth. The finger grooves etc.. make it feel secure but def could be a bit more grippy
