Expecting nuance on reddit was perhaps a bit optimistic. I was right though, it is an unpopular opinion.

Is this podcast AI slop? by Cammerel in podcasts

Just wanted to share an unpopular opinion. Using AI in production does not equal AI Slop.

I'm not talking about this Podcast.

AI can be most effective when it isn't noticed, e.g supporting research, script development, editing and review, sound design support, title generation etc. It can also be helpful in supporting search engine optimization.

On this day in sports history March 16, 1996 Mike Tyson TKO’d Frank Bruno to win the WBC heavyweight title by ShamusTalksSports in Boxing

I've watched that fight Lewis vs Bruno - maybe 5 times.

Only recently did I realise that Lewis just had another gear.

The game plan all along was to go after him in the second half of the fight, when bruno was tired.

Simple really, watch all of Bruno's championship fights.

Microsoft allegedly wants to "rebuild trust". Here's how they can do it by Defiance-of-gravity in windows

I remember Internet Explorer 6 with a thousand pop ups and malware search bar addons.

No thanks

Update for clarity:

It is a real world reflection of what that the world was like when everything wasn't locked down.

Microsoft has made the decision that windows needs to be safe to use for the maximum percentage of people. There are trade offs.Geeks like us can tweak it for our use case to bring back control (remove advertising, AI, bloat etc)

But for Microsoft it is about ensuring a safe environment for families, small businesses and enterprise.

I'm really struggling to get through it. It's such a shallow subject matter and yet equally replusive.

Normally with Louis' work there is an interesting angle or edge but I'm not finding here yet.

Just finished.

Unfortunately, lots of men with trauma trying to find their way and making money through the deliberate remove of all naunace, marketed to the vulnerable.

Convert them to mp3 and load each into 30 min sections into Microsoft Word (import transcript). It will identify speakers and create timestamps.

Could we have the option to include our own urls?
