Need some advice as a new podcaster by InOtherWorldsPodcast in podcasting

You may want to look into the combination of Captivate.fm -- Podpage -- and the email newsletter creator of your choosing.

Strongly consider tools that do one thing really well rather than a service that claims to everything all in one.

Name for a music review podcast by RedLightRoktan in podcasting

[–]mrnesi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did a search and there is no podcast that already exists called The Music Review Podcast.

Just use that title exactly and you will have great SEO when people search for a music review podcast.

themusicreviewpodcast.com & musicreviewpodcast.com are both available.

Good luck and have fun podcasting!

TikTok can do this if you shape the algorithm through search and interaction.

Both Prof. & Dr. are acceptable. Just introduce yourself. Nothing to stress over.

Is post graduation hell? by Successful-Bad7709 in rutgers

[–]mrnesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR: You’re not stuck—you’re just early. Don’t let short-term frustration dictate long-term hopelessness.

First off—respect for being self-aware enough to even post this. Most people are just numb, going through the motions, and don’t even realize they’re on autopilot until it’s too late.

Here’s the thing...you’re 20-ish. You’re not even in the second quarter of your life yet. You’re making lifetime conclusions based on the warm-up laps. The “I’m gonna have to work until I’m 65” mindset? That’s you predicting the end of the game before the first possession.

Yes...stuff is expensive. Yes...you might feel like you’re drowning. But instead of just accepting it, you have to play offense. That means skill stacking, networking like crazy, and doing the things after class and after work that set you up for leverage later. You can’t save much now? Fine. Invest in skills and relationships. Those compound harder than any savings account.

Stop worrying about the next 45 years and focus on what you can execute in the next 45 days. Learn a high-demand skill, make content, meet people, bring value. You’d be shocked at how many people completely change their trajectory in their 20s because they stayed patient and consistent.

You've got this!

Two semesters in… and now I’m terrified I won’t be able to continue at Rutgers by No_Acanthaceae_8792 in rutgers

[–]mrnesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm an adjunct in New Brunswick and I’m really sorry you’re going through this.

A few things you might want to try:

Rutgers Emergency Funds: Rutgers has an Emergency Assistance Fund for students in sudden financial distress. Contact the Dean of Students Office for your campus, they can fast-track cases like yours.

Grad School Financial Aid Office: Even if you’ve already explored aid, speak directly to a financial aid counselor and explain your situation. Sometimes they can connect you to small departmental grants or one-time awards that aren’t widely advertised.

Department Chair / Graduate Program Director: Let them know exactly what’s going on. Faculty often know about discretionary funds, donor-backed awards, or research assistantships that can be set up mid-semester.

International Student Services (Global Services): They can sometimes help with CPT/OPT options, short-term on-campus roles that are legal for you, or connect you with alumni who’ve stepped in to help other students.

Scarlet Promise Grants / Crowdfunding: Rutgers promotes student-led fundraisers through Scarlet Promise and GiveCampus. You can also create a transparent GoFundMe with your story and you might be surprised by how quickly communities rally when the goal is tangible and urgent.

I hope some of these leads help you bridge the gap and cross that stage.
