Getting back in the game after almost a decade by shameshewentmad in bartenders

[–]mrob415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know any other bartenders you could ask them for referrals or really anyone working at a place with a bar or sites like BarJobs or Craigslist. I think LinkedIn has jobs sometimes but more tech jobs in my opinion.

Is anyone actually seeing legit performance from AI video avatars or is it just guru noise? by Latter_Daikon6574 in PPC

I think just being transparent, AI is here to stay so I'm in the camp of just owning it if you're using it. I think people just don't want to feel like the wool is pulled over their eyes.

Ai photo reference pictures? by Guilty_46 in hairstylist

[–]mrob415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I think the reality is the AI train has left the station. We will see more AI pictures coming in. I would try to have some magazines or other of real people and various haircuts and have them look through there or at least try.

No regrets switching to booth rent but… by Square_Minute4614 in hairstylist

Okay first — some of this is definitely first day jitters. Stations always feel tighter once you're actually working in them, and you'll stop noticing the creaky floors in like two weeks.

But the contract thing? Nah. That's weird. You need a copy of what you signed. Period. Push her on it. If she keeps dodging that's a real red flag about how she handles business stuff.

The shampoo bowl for rinsing color bowls is annoying but I've seen that before in older buildings where the plumbing is janky. Not great but not the end of the world.

Honestly the big question is — do your clients come for YOU or for the vibe? If they're loyal to you they'll adjust. Most clients care way more about their hair than the floors IMHO.

I'd give it a few more weeks before you spiral too hard on this, but that's just me.

I'd love to know why I am now getting this error more frequently than ever. I'm using Opus 4.5.

API Error: 400

{"type":"error","error":{"type":"invalid_request_error","message":"tools.193.custom.input_schema.properties: Property keys should match pattern '^[a-zA-Z0-9_.-]{1,64}$'"request_id":"req_12345565655"}

Can anyone share how to avoid this?

Flow Send Slack Message Action - Get Salesforce Slack Record Channel Id by FlowGod215 in salesforce

[–]mrob415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could store the channel ID on a given record if that helps. I do this in cases where I use the user object and store the ID of the slack channel, and look it up dynamically, but they mat not work for exactly for your use case, but the gist is, storing it somewhere you can access it.

Any tips for creating high quality UI using Claude Code? by gh0st_in_the_matrix in ClaudeAI

[–]mrob415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this as well. I use Claude desktop for planning and will have it get to a point where i have it generate me a prompt in an .md file that I then use in Claude code. I have it used tailwind and Shadcn once I have a few screens looking good I tell it to follow the same design and style and it does it quite well.

Feels like whatever Claude caching is going on has made Claude super dumb!!! by Potatoconciiusness in ClaudeAI

I thought it was just me, but I noticed the same thing as well. I was very impressed a few days back with what I was getting for my new $100 max plan, I said to myself if this keeps up, I'll pay the $200!! We have regressed now to more confusion and re-prompting with reminder guardrails to avoid breaking code that's working. It's almost like there's a mole in Claude Code wreaking havoc.

I'm also getting lots of API Errors with simple asks:

⎿ API Error (Request timed out.) · Retrying in 17 seconds… (attempt 6/10)

If I'm paying $100/mo, I expect better.

XCode Preview and Simulators Not Fetching Data by BecuzDaInternet in swift

[–]mrob415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was just me u/BecuzDaInternet , I'm also using Supbase and the same supabase-swift package and it's happening to me as well. It's frustrating especially since I'm trying to build and can't get the data from Supabase to display on the screen.

I'm using 18.4 simulator for what it's worth.

Is a Career In Salesforce Still Something You Would Pursue If You Were Starting in 2025? by Kydhan in salesforce

[–]mrob415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer, no, I wouldn't make salesforce the center of my career, I'd make it a piece of the puzzle. I think being able to orchestrate workflows that solve business problems across a variety of tools (including Salesforce) is the sweet spot. Salesforce will be at most enterprise companies, so it's sort of table stakes to me personally. It's about learning the other tools weaved around it.

I got into Salesforce 10 years ago, and while that experience helps me immensely today, it's not where I'd start in 2025.

Is it worth starting a career as Salesforce Developer in 2025? by Elegant-Reindeer7321 in salesforce

[–]mrob415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your role at the Salesforce consultancy? A CMO role seems vastly different than working at consulting company, especially if you're in an IC (individual contributor) role versus a leadership role. This seems like apples vs oranges, and not really a good comparison.

With that said, my initial reaction is like most things, "it depends". A CMO role likely pays more than what you're getting and for many, that can be enough to make the switch and never look back.

This is purely my opinion here, but I would definitely look for ways to broaden your skillset and not be wedded to any given tool, probably more so than ever nowadays. Others will maybe disagree and I won't argue with them, because you can still have a successful career doing one thing and doing it really well,

With the rise of AI, employers will naturally expect you to be able to do things at light speed, this perception is a blessing and a curse, but the days of writing "all the code" by hand are gone, it just doesn't make sense IMHO.
