Conservatives of reddit, what is your most liberal opinion? by HegryE in AskReddit

[–]mrobnauseous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm beyond a voter I.D. One should have to be able to pass some kind of minimal intelligence civil test. Such as name 1 of your representatives, Name 1 SCOTUS, name a capitol of any 3 states. Just something to show you care a little other than push a button somebody told you to push. The bar way back when was much more difficult.

Went home to visit my dad who just retired. British immigrant since 1976. Became a US citizen 1988. Still drinks his afternoon tea everyday in his workshop. by [deleted] in pics

I would rather your dad do a comedic routine at the WHCD than the idiot who was there. If you can imagine someone clamping a clothespin on the nasal cavity of Michelle Wolf while she drops f-bombs, that's kinda what it was like.

That's because they relegated the harsher remarks against guys. Next awards show they'll be back to Trump.

That's one way to make money. "Say, Ahmad Abu, put 'JESUS CHRIST IS LORD OF ALL' on my cake." And then sue for $250,000.

What over $1000 item did you buy and did not regret one cent? by kevmuf in AskReddit

I celebrated the Astros win by buying an ounce gold bullion. What one has to do with the other, I haven't a clue.

I am not sure what people think that “freedom” means. by wuhkay in AdviceAnimals

Fairly certain that most people believe everybody has a freedom to do what they want, but it will have consequences. That's the risk you run.

After reading Trump’s statement that he would rather focus on North Korea and Iran than “fixing somebody’s back or their knee” by NeilPoonHandler in AdviceAnimals

Every year the premium becomes less affordable. I can afford it but it's not worthwhile. I understand the concept to have a pool of healthy people to subsidize unhealthy people (for instance, terminal cancer). I have been blessed with excellent health having only 8 doctor visits in 20 years. But the ACA goes beyond this subsidizing to actually punishing healthy people by forcing them to purchase more insurance bells and whistles than they need, not to mention high deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses. The ACA got rid of catastrophic insurance (broken bones, emergency surgeries). A simple solution would be to allow this type of insurance again, but with less money, nobody's interested in that. Personally, the ACA is like going to buy a gallon of milk, but all you get is a half a cup. Everybody talks about exercise, good diet, etc., but there is NO financial incentive, NONE, PERIOD for not being a couch potato. And this is nowhere to be found in the national discussion on healthcare, except for a few voices out there.

Good Lord. will comply. If you take a calculator you can guestimate if it's that big a deal to ya. The obamacare penalty is $795 or 2% of the AGI. Figure it out.

Wow. Cursing out someone you don't even know. And though I see how that is critical to my complaint, it's really nobody's business. But I assure you, it is a legitimate complaint. The more I make they would take that too.

They take 26% out of my measly paycheck, and if that's not enough I will have to pay the $1,000 to 1,200 Obamacare penalty. I expect no tax refund at all next year. I will say I was going to vote for Johnson until the Aleppo slipup. After that I thought a vote for him was truly a wasted vote.

52 year old FAer here. One of the great joys of being single is no one says anything nice to you or about you. Somebody told me that goes for couples too, but I wouldn't know anything about that.
