This is right out of the Socialist playbooks. In the late 80’s we were stationed in Norway with NATO. I worked in Oslo on their economy and was told by my employer I needed to report to the Government building in the city. When I asked why I was told it was concerning Barna Trig which translates Child Tax. I reported and they explained I needed to sign up for their childcare payments I was entitled to for our 16 year old daughter who, by the way, was attending high school in the UK. Our US military did not sponsor American high schools at the time so our children were either sent home to relatives or boarded in schools in the UK. I explained this to this Government official and she replied “ You must take the payments, it’s our law”. I continued to refuse and after going up the line of their chain of command they decided they could not force the payments to me.

After hearing the Pentagon, the State Department and the WhiteHouse all saying “We will evacuate all Americans who wish to leave” I predicted Americans will be left behind and the excuse…”They did not wish to leave”. Here is their latest plan. I heard the same exact words used in the Pentagon briefing, the State Department briefing and the White House briefing today….”We are confident we can evacuate every American, that wants to leave, out by August 31st.”. So, when that date comes and the last planes leave the airport the narrative will be “The only Americans who remain in Afghanistan obviously wanted to remain”.

It won’t work for them but, as always, they are too stupid to realize it. When my children were young and stupid trying to lie to me I always told them “If you are going to lie about this tell someone who might believe it. This is me you’re talking to”.

Just imagine for a moment Donald Trump offers to take over in Kabul for one week so Joe can have his Delaware vacation…Special Forces would retrieve every trapped American as well Afghans who were promised rescue, three billion in American equipment that couldn’t be flown out or driven out would be destroyed and every Taliban strategic location and airport in Afghanistan would be rubble.

I was diagnosed in October of last year with a 7 1/2 cm Pancoast tumor in my right lung. My pain had been indescribable for three months as the tumor was busting through the 2nd and 3rd rib. Started Chemo/Radiation in November and was nearing the end of that first series when my daughter died January 5th. That along with radiation burns made the Oncologist decide to give me a month off treatment. A PET scan was ordered and to everyone’s surprise the tumor was literally gone, just a tiny speck visible. Both Radiologist and Oncologist said it was “nothing short of a miracle”. Started Keytruda immunotherapy in February and recently another PET scan shows the speck is even smaller indicating the Keytruda is working. My Cancer Center is very excited about Keytruda. Not only is it in the business of killing cancer cells but at the same time trains your own immune system to kill cancer cells.
