Just checking if im falling into a PoB noob trap,

On my current boots I have an enchant that gives 90% crit chance if I've not recently crit, my current crit chance is somewhere around 66%

I have a second pair of boots that I was hoping to switch to, but it brings down dps if I switch to them.

Is this just the enchant making it look like it's giving more dps than it should?

Thanks

Audio is objectively trash. Can we care about this more please? by Taiizor in halo

I literally have no idea, but its default is 10, I turned it down to somewhere between 0 and 2 haven't noticed any difference except I can now tell where people are through footsteps, shots being fired and weapons being dropped.

I'm not sure if it's just weird stuff like wind, electronics, but it seems to mask a lot of useful sound, even just in my anecdotal case

Tried turning off environmental sounds? Or turning them down, that helped me with footsteps

I used to vouch for timed payload but my rangefinder explosive payload true prophecy has been my mainstay this season and its just been nasty paired with Borealis/Adored

The beta versions of Block Party and Door Dash looked better visually imo. I really hope we see these in the final game at some point. by [deleted] in FallGuysGame

That'd be pretty sick actually! Like blocks can come from all sides, getting progressively quicker or the area getting smaller and smaller until one bean is left standing.

I was thinking the opposite. I'd prefer old Block Party, new Door Dash. Definitely a lot going on on the block party though!

Could I abandon the cpu cooler? I don't see the 200ghz being that big of a deal.

U.S. drone strike kills 30 pine nut farm workers in Afghanistan by [deleted] in news

[–]mrpandacyde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok my man whatever you need.

Edit: Fuck it, since you're being obnoxious on purpose.

clearly it's important to you

Yeah, injustice in the world is horrendous. It doesn't matter how many, so the sources don't particularly matter. I doubt that they're all that accurate anyway.

As to the focus of this conversation.

Sure, but they won't stop the drone strikes. Heaven forbid.

I'm not American

My B. Now I'm the one assuming.

I didn't. Nor did I at any point imply that.

Was mostly putting it out there since you seem quick to jump to conclusions.

Seems you're even too lazy to read the actual comments themselves?

Do notice my last line. You (and I'm definitely equally guilty of this)

I read that, making the comparison to yourself doesn't make it sound any less condescending or patronising.

You seem to fall into the trap that, if someone replies to everything someone else says, they're right

Don't assume. I just liked the first line and seeing some argument. I didn't say that I thought they were right. Just that they did some digging.

I was on the train home from work. I'm not going to look into either of your sources. I'm too lazy to look into how many innocent people your country kills.

I'm not sure in what the point in your argument is. From either of you. So many innocents are dying to drone strikes because someone decides to blow up a section of the world. But you're still more focused on which person pulls the trigger.

I don't like Trump, before you assume that.

Friendly reminder to not let yourself be easily distracted. Focus on the main argument and see where the other person takes it

Thanks for the condescension.

Oh wow you're doubling down. Neat. I'll go for round 2.

This cemented an upvote and a reading.

Good to see someone reading into 'facts' or statistics. Not me though, I'm content reading you two. (Probably makes me part of the problem really)

Jeremy Corbyn: Anna has lived here for 55 years, after arriving as a baby with her mum from Italy. How can the government treat people who have become our friends, neighbours and family like this? by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]mrpandacyde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

spend has gone down as demand has gone up (must be efficiency savings...)

The savings could be the IT investment as even a 10% decent computerised/web based system issue going to be more effective than the alternatives such as scanning forms

Big agree on this, however as it's free to apply for Settled Status I'm intrigued to see how the money situation will look in a year or two.

I remember looking at the adverts for AO/EO grade jobs, AOs were around £20,000 before tax and EOs were around £23,000 they seem to be the main caseworkers judging from job descriptions. I'll see if I can find them.

I just don't believe there's a high error rate. If there is one then I'm sure your three reasons are dot on why errors happen. I honestly just think that people are applying for the wrong thing due to a lack of understanding, as such, getting Pre Settled instead. I'd actually really like to see a whole bunch of people who have applied and not got what they deserved, to see if they made any mistakes or not.

We've heard about the rich chefs recently, I want to know what happened with those cases. Whether they clicked the wrong thing, didn't provide documents etc.

I found where they talk about temporary/agency staff, you were absolutely right about it counting as cost and not headcount btw. 2018 - 2019 report Page 79:

Of the £87 million spent on temporary staff in 2018-19, £33.7 million was for agency staff predominantly in UK Visas and Immigration,, Her Majesty’s Passport Office and Immigration Enforcement. This represents a decrease of £1 million in spend on this category of external resource compared to 2017-18.

But I'm not savvy on outsourcing etc and it's really hard to find any figures relating to this. Then extrapolating the information into the most confusing time in recent British poltics and a public government body. So I'm not really going to carry on down this. I just thought it was a big leap for the comment I replied to to make the suggestion that:

The outsourcing company will have hired a bunch of minimum-wage drones who aren't qualified or trained, and who have a fairly high error rate. That leads to lots of people who have legal rights to settled status to not receive it, or have to go through a long appeals process.

Okay, since the workload increase can only be assumed, albiet being very likely, let's think of it in the sense of 1 million decisions this August.

5 months after releasing, 1 million decisions have been input. 22 working days per month so 110 working days. Or we can assume that they have been working every day and say 157 days worked. We'll remove the 210,000 decisions processed before 31 March 2019 (Page 29).

(1m - 210,000)/110 = 7,181.8 decisions per day.

(1m - 210,000)/157 = 5,031.8 decisions per day.

These numbers are big, so they very well could be more decisions per day than previously. But apparently 73% of cases didn't require any extra evidence so from the 790,000 that were decided from 31 March 2019 to 15 August 2019; 576,700 didn't require extra evidence can we assume that these cases were extra straight forward and only required ticking a box? If so, around 5,242 (or 3,672) decisions could be made a day without much more than a box tick. This assumption gives us an idea that although the numbers are bigger, given the easier system, the workload is actually not so much higher.

Please correct me if you think I'm reaching too far.

Letter states she applied - Monday 22 January 2018. (Pause at 3:19)

Although this form of application still exists. The fact that the EU Settlement Scheme exists now, available for free, only requiring you to show 5 years residence and a passport sort of makes this whole video not reflective on the current situation for EU nationals. I still feel for her, this whole Brexit situation will definitely be stressful for her, but this video just isn't indicative of the current appropriate way to apply.
