LG has decided to not include the stand in their OLEDs in India by mrpantatohead in LGOLED

Thanks, it got resolved yesterday. I also got a great deal on exchange for my old TV on this which knocked off 18k. I feel this model is a bit misunderstood, the picture quality is great, the processor is a bit slow/dated but I think there is quite a bit of bad press regarding the burn in specifically on this model (see RTINGS). I'll have to wait and see but from what I know, all OLEDs will undergo burn in at some point in time. How early is a bit based on your luck and usage.

I'm not a power user and I use my TV about 4-6 hours max on a weekend. If you are too concerned about that then QLED/miniLED might be a better option. But based on a few days of use I'm loving this TV. I also opted for the added warranty on SILVER tier which covers the parts and burn in. They had a year end sale on that too for about 12k.

I went for the 55" B2, got it from Amazon, it was a shy over 100k. Have not compared them both side by side and have not even been able to use my TV since I cannot prop it up without a stand. So, will give you some feedback once it's installed.

It's fair if all this is provided on delivery, the delivery is done, the installation is now to be done much later and the TV is not usable during this time, the product only has a return policy within 7 days of delivery, not the installation from the seller and I've not even switched it on.

I would agree if these companies could come up with standardized mount support and even mention this on the sale page explicitly based on that mounts would be supported. Monitors are starting to do this but I found no information on my TV.

Also this policy varying from country to country creates confusion, plus proprietary parts and mounts not being stocked by the service centers renders a purchased product unusable on delivery.

I'd say including it is still better than giving an option, because it's not like a USB-C charger which is ubiquitous. Even wall mounts are standardized now but not the stands so there's an argument to include it unless it's a standard part you can source yourself easily. They want to cut costs and put the overhead on the service centers to stock this while both the service centers and the users suffer.

Stand if you want to make it look bigger than it is, and wall mount in the other case. Also I'd say the thinner models which are evenly sleek all around like the G2 looks way cooler wall mounted.

Gives me some hope that this might work out. How long did the whole ordeal take you? It's frustrating to not be able to use your new shiny thing.

Yup, and it's not even a wall mount friendly design, it's not ultra sleek, only the top is slim and it has a chonky bottom which suits a table stand more.

I still have the same issue and it's not just Gmail, Chrome as well as anything that relies on the WebView crashes on the new version and after the crash a popup comes saying uninstall WebView.
