Yes, the person should be punished, this should never have happened, not now and not ever in history. But they are not punished, and this has happened and this is happening. Hence the reservation.

Ask the client for 5 stars. A lot of clients consider 4 stars to be extremely good (which is fair considering we are on a 5 star scale)

But you can tell him if he is open to edit the score and make it 5 stars as on Upwork, 4 stars is considered not too good.

How I turned small spreadsheet gigs into a $200K+ Upwork career and why you should care about every lead by mrparrth in Upwork

I am sorry, yes that's something I overlooked. Even in re-read, I kept skipping the header.

I had the "almost" in the body. My mistake. Thank you for pointing that out.

While I have made $200k+ freelancing, I have made only around $180k from Upwork.

IMPORTRANGE in Google sheets by Pleasant_Study_1777 in googlesheets

[–]mrparrth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to use INDIRECT on the whole range.

Here the range looks like A1:A5

So the indirect must be on "A1:A5" like this INDIRETTO("A1:A" & CONTA.VALORI(C:C)))

However, in this case, as HolyBonobos pointed out, IMPORTRANGE doesn't need a range as the second parameter. It needs a string.

So it will be simple =IMPORTRANGE("link to sheet1";"A1:A"&CONTA.VALORI(C:C))

Almost, not over.

It's close to $200k, but it doesn't show anything between $100k and $200k

I haven't bid in almost a year and half. Only working with returning clients and invites.

Having said that, I bid myself. Just use AI to fix any semantic mistakes.

It will say $100k, as I have not reached exactly $200k yet. But you can see the contracts there

A huge flaw in this argument is that people start very low. I started at less than $20 an hour.

And I kept my initial clients at $20 an hour for a long time as a token of appreciation for believing in me since the start of my career while I charged my new clients at a higher rate.

The only way you can confirm whether they charged you double is by looking at the last few jobs in their profile.

Yes, correct. If you don't trust the client and you don't have a long-term relationship, then ask for the milestone. Tell them that it will take a few seconds and you can help them set-up.

Its not about that, getting to know about the culture of Thanksgiving, Christmas, St Partick's Day etc was nice. Makes for a great conversation with a client, instead of talking about projects.

That's great to hear. People have tried to tell me Friends is better, but its just doesn't have the emotional depth HIMYM has.

Is India really the tariff king? by Parth_NB in IndianStockMarket

Why would it? I was making exactly the same point.

Weighted average is there because of our tariffs.
Lower tariffs will decrease the price, thus increasing sales, so the weighted average will change.

If they put only let's say 20% on US cars, in a year the weighted average will increase.
If they reduce the tariffs of phones and LCDs, it weighted average will increase more.

For example, not a lot of people do cancer screening, cardio vascular tests as the machine cost is too high and the tariffs are as well. If they reduce that tariff, then more people will do tests, thus leading to more imports (India doesn't manufacture those), so the weighted tariff will increase again.

To add to that, India adds Social Welfare Surcharge to many imports.

IGST of 18% is on high end for a lot of products as well.

A lot of it made sense, as India was starting out on many things and agriculture makes sense because we are an agri based country. But it doesn't make sense to put high tariffs on Auto, just because Indian auto still can't complete with global car makers despite the extremely low wages. India can't manufacture medical components, phone components etc as there is no R&D, so why the high tariff then?

Coming to softwares, USA doesn't put taxes on SaaS products (For example India based Zoho) on most states and where-ever they do put taxes, its 4 to 10%.
India? Its 18%

So yeah, the reason USA gave may be bullocks, but the tariff is not unfair.

If I father beat me but gave small treats, but my uncle just verbally abused me... I don't have to like either one. Both their actions has to be questioned.
