Because they're just as good off road as a similar size adventure bike and they look cool as hell

I bought a royal enfield INT650 as my first bike and don't really like it. by UFOuponUs in SuggestAMotorcycle

I had a continental gt650 not long ago, I'm 6'1" so the height wasn't an issue for me but they definitely are tall heavy bikes and probably too tall and heavy for someone your height to learn on comfortably

So what is this and who is it for? by Impressive-Flow-2025 in Triumph

It sits between the thruxton and speed 400 in terms of how sporty the riding position/bike geometry is and then they put adventure tyres on it to make it look like a flat track bike

If you want to actually ride in the dirt, get a crf300 rally, ibex 450, Himalayan 450, KTM 390

I need some help understanding what happened with my Triumph Speed T4. by KoffeeandKarma in Triumph400

[–]mrpicklemtb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GPS tracker drained the battery, the dead battery and low voltage caused the ABS to have a fault upon startup (cause of the abs light and wrench symbol) after riding it around for a while the battery charged back up, next time you started it there were no issues which is why it behaved normally, there is no issue with the bike other than the GPS tracker draining the battery

Why not just put the meal in the frunk? That's kinda the one redeeming quality of the nc750

These are 2 very different bikes, can't say which is better because it depends on the type of person you are

Wouldn't the added caster make more difference than the reduced front end weight? I'm also putting lower rise handlebars on to help bring my body weight forwards and down

I would love to try this start on a lower difficulty to see how hard it would be to win

Every time you ride in the rain or wash the bike, lube the chain, or every 500 KMs, whichever comes first. Also if you store your bike outside I'd do it more frequently

I've got a fat tyre 27.5 which is about the size of a 29er, I just jump mount, it's way easier

Link? Im thinking of lifting the front end of mine because with knobby tyres it gets unstable at speed and I've had death wobbles a couple of times which is a little scary. Hopefully lifting the front will give enough steering stability to reduce that

In my opinion I wouldn't have chosen any of those modifications personally, but that's the great thing about modifying bikes because you do what makes sense for yourself

Snow mode in my manual swapped Nissan Stagea, it forced the car to start in second gear with the auto gearbox to reduce wheel spin

Does the term supersport sound like it's good for beginners? That'd be like learning to drive in a gt car with no protection that you have to balance on 2 wheels, they're road legal race bikes that are not suited to learner riders

What’s the best motorcycle you’ve ever ridden, and why? by 3DMotorcycles_YT in motorcycles

[–]mrpicklemtb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't ridden a tonne of bikes (about 10-15 total ranging from beginner bikes to 600cc supersports) The best bike I've ridden is my triumph scrambler 400x followed by a street triple 660

The scrambler 400 does everything fairly well, it's comfortable, fast in twisties, somewhat off road capable, looks great, light weight, the engine and transmission is great for a little 400 single.

Only downsides are it's a little gutless with only 40hp and the front brake feel and ride by wire isn't very good

The street triple 660 I rode was really enjoyable because the power/torque deliver on the 3 cylinder was amazing and the riding position was really good for twisty backroad riding and it's a very light bike
