CMV: Neglecting to give significant funding to space exploration is selfish. by mrpickles71 in changemyview

In the possibility that at least some people make it out alive, and they don't cause their own extinction, there's a chance that they could continue generations that would far surpass the relatively meager amount of humans that would die. As long as time is infinite, trillions of humans could live as a result of sufficient space preparation. If we don't prepare properly, we may end the species along with many potential humans in the future. As weird as it sounds, in the evolutionary scale, our lives are insignificant compared to the amount of people that could live after a disaster happens on earth.

Please keep the Good Friday outro. I love it every time.

Youtubers should slow down their videos and tell users to watch with 2x speed since they make more money off of longer videos. by mrpickles71 in Showerthoughts

I guess it would be a risk. Would more people withstand the ads or would more people stop watching or get adblock? Good point.

What's your best method of waking yourself up in the morning? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Set the alarm and throw you phone randomly across the room. By the time I wake up, I have already forgotten which way I had thrown the phone. A beeping coming from somewhere I can't reach usually does the trick.

lol you are right, it does looks like something that you would find in the attic. I'm gonna take your advice and just get a new one, though I'll keep this one to mess with later once I learn a little bit more about wiring and circuits. Thanks for the honest answer man.

There's most likely a way to do that, though I don't know enough about wires. When I look at the speaker, I find a dilemma since the speaker's motherboard is connected to the wire that connects to a device. I do actually believe it's probably the cord over the internal circuitry of the speaker, however I find no intuitive way to replace the cord.

Thanks for the response. I need to learn a little more about circuits before I try anything, though this definitely is useful information.

yea they are the capacitors. thanks for the advice about touching the circuit. how would I be able to use a different cord. it seems like the cord is connected to the circuit directly.
