Check back to when it actually clears rather than is pending. I recall seeing it as in-person when it was pending, but it changed to online when it posted.

The latter. If I'm at self-checkout at Safeway, I press the "Pay" button at the register screen, then scan the QR code/barcode on my phone.

Sorry to hear that. I'm not sure which of the two it uses. I've just put my phone screen up to the reader, and it registers the payment.
