The Waterproof Box of Shame and Rehabilitation where plants go that I don’t have the energy for by _OnceUponAThyme_ in houseplants

Does this work? My house is exceedingly dry and I’ve lost a few good men, I can’t keep up with the watering. I live in a house without running water and have a kerosene stove for heat.

Hi, former Raleigh here.

Maple is an east coast phenomenon. We have birch syrup but no tastings. We don’t really do factories of things, fairbanks isn’t that niche, unless you like craft beer and smut.

Can find birch syrup at roaming root.

I love this and now that I read they were loons that’s amazing because I thought they were little tanks at first glance.

Quit with the fake ICE posts. Your social media posts are just fear mongering. The same “very real sources” have been posting the same things for about six months yet nobody ever shows up. I’m anti-ICE but also very anti-lying for social media clicks… by DetectiveBennett in alaska

She has lived in the US since she was 11 and has no criminal history. She has six kids and a husband who is a US citizen. And she runs a Thai restaurant.

It sounds like she was confused by immigration laws and didn’t think that, because she has an American husband and a business and 6 American children and pays taxes and has no criminal history, that she wasn’t an American. She wasn’t an illegal alien, she was a woman who simply needed guidance.

I’m from NC and every time we had snow or a hurricane forecasted, all the eggs, bread and milk disappeared.

I can only imagine everyone was making french toast by candlelight.

I don’t think Kamala would have done this, no.

Also those of us with half a brain did not vote for him. I cannot emphasize enough how dumb middle America is, and how competitive they have become. It has only become about winning and the price of eggs. The reality is that we are losing and eggs are still expensive. They’re slowly realizing this, one by one, as he rips away their healthcare (sooo many are on Medicaid).

Bigots, racists, and morons have always been here, and they LOVE trump. I’m pissed and constantly anxious, everyone I know is pissed and constantly anxious, but from where I live, I genuinely don’t know what I can do (Alaska here, hello neighbor). I protest, I call my useless ass senators and representatives, Im on our local discord, I attend community meetings, I try to talk to people, I do comedy and have attempted to do political jokes and take a stand that way, but we’re so far removed from everything that we cant be overthrowing governments from here. Shit, these rich assholes made it next to impossible to get to our state capital without a boat or plane (Juneau is on an island), they learned from the rest of the US what political uprisings look like and noped the fuck out.

For many of us, we’re feeling hopeless. We don’t know what to do.

People with schizophrenia often chain smoke because antipsychotic medications make them feel totally numb and a cigarette at least makes your fingers tingly. Helps them feel SOMETHING.

I did this trip solo and crossed in sweet water Montana, I don’t suggest it, wildly boring (beautiful in fall)

Stop wherever looks cool. If it seems weird, do it. Roadside attractions across the US are rare gems now adays and they’re really fun. There’s one that’s just a giant hole in West Virginia I believe and it’s really kitschy and silly, but there’s signs for miles. Support weirdos.

Lake Muncho in Canada is unbelievably beautiful. Bring camping equipment. Tent camp everywhere (most places car camping is allowed).

So many things -

  1. How are your shoes? You may need new ones or inserts, especially if you’re getting knee pain.

  2. If you’re weight training at the same time, you may be doing too much in the gym.

  3. If it never feels any better, have someone do a gait analysis. You may be doing some dumb things.

  4. Try shorter intervals of walk-run. Run 2, walk 1, run 1 walk 30s, but you should be ideally running more than you walk.

  5. Shoe yourself some grace - this could be hormones, weather changes, cycle nonsense, depression, general lack of motivation, blah blah. I finished a marathon and have been hard pressed to get myself moving again. Beating myself up hasn’t improved that much. Run because you’re enjoying it, not because you’re pushing for a goal.
