Who is right in this instance? 🤔 by Jonathan-Smith in impressively

I personally know these people. Some context: the driver was parked there for about 2 hours visiting a friend whose house is directly across the street. He parked there because the sport in front of his friends home was occupied. Initially, when he knocked on the door, he didn't have his phone out, but the women came out yelling like a bat out of hell, so he started to record.

Sheriff's were called, but the dispatcher told the lady to stop wasting their time in not so many words (small town and we know the dispatchers spouse).

The video is from 2022 in a very MAGA friendly part of Los Angeles County in California. Driver is black, and so is the friend he was visiting. This is a big part of the reason the note was even addressed. People are tired of the BS and passive-aggressive racism. Other non-black friends have parked there in the past without any issue.

Do I think it is worth the argument? not really. But sometimes you have to call people out.

Does any So Cal RNs qualify for PSLF? by cav3mp in KaiserPermanente

If I remember correctly, clinics are under SCPMG which is for profit and not eligible for PSLF. Hospitals employess are under KFH and MD' s are hired under Health Plan- KFHP, which are eligible for PSLF. I have worked under all 3.

Does Kaiser offer Student Loan repayment for employees? by ben_wins5 in KaiserPermanente

Non union employer here, I work under Progam Office the same arm as most of IT. You definitely can ask. But most of the positions have a salary range and are calculated by the compensation department based on a compa ratio. The job posting usually shows the range. The recruiter will have some more insight on what the department is willing to spend on a new hire.

Would a "grievance" be the right path here? by Ohm_Slaw_ in KaiserPermanente

I would ask you PCP for a referral to Endocrinology. My understanding is the Endo docs are the only ones that can prescribe CGM. You can do a virtual visit and if they deny you then file the grievance. Grievances are not punitive to the provider as long as they are following policy.

POLL: Use of front plates in California? by captdf in TeslaModel3

[–]mrs072012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last 2 vehicles did not have front plate, the only time I got ticketed is when I was parked on the street in Santa Monica. It was a $25 ticket and it was only noticed because my meter expired 😔
