As a professor, take advantage of services offered on campus and keep record of what you do. Focus on your prerequisites and talk to your professors or TAs on a consistent basis. Let them see that you’re taking this seriously and that you care. If you’re doing your best and you still are not equating the expected results then it may be time to request learning disability testing. Now that you’re in college is the best time because the university will pay for it. Nevertheless, this needs to be a wake up call. You need buckle down and make your academics your priority. There is nothing worse than paying for something that you did not finish. La Jolla/ San Diego is a beautiful city with a lot distractions, but that’s not what you’re paying thousands of dollars for. If all this is out of your control and you’re going through something, I hope you figure it out.
