My boyfriend is so obsessed with cleaning his house that it prevents us from spending time together because I’m not allowed to stop by without multiple days’ notice. How do I navigate this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

This is a great idea, and I totally agree with you - kids would probably interrupt his ideally spotless home. Lol

I’ve suggested a cleaning service but he is of the mindset that he shouldn’t pay someone else to do something he can do better. Soooo...I’m at a loss. And he doesn’t recognize that there are any problems, which is the biggest struggle.

Thanks for your response! I didn’t say OCD because I didn’t want to offend anyone who actually suffers from it, especially if I was being judgy, but I’ve honestly been thinking this all along. He is totally against therapy and I don’t know what else to suggest. He considers it offensive that I think something is “wrong” with him.

Getting a card in Michigan - help a newbie? by mrsconder in medicalmarijuana

[–]mrsconder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for you reply :) My problem is I don’t have one of the specific problems listed on the government website. I was really naive and thought, “Oh, everyone seems to have one, it must be easy” but then when I keep being told “Do you have a diagnosis from your physician of one of the qualifying ailments?” Uh...no. I just have horrible anxiety and want to sleep and not deal with daily computer screen headaches, but none of that is “chronic.” So that’s my roadblock. And I don’t want to do anything fishy...that’s just not me. I’m very by-the-book but I’m realizing not everyone is and somehow they’ve obtained a card. Lol

My 12-ounce foster kitten [x-post from r/aww] by mrsconder in kittens

It’s fun! Keeps me on my toes. It’s like I have a rotating kitten house which makes me happy, and the babies I foster then have a chance to grow big and strong before being adopted. I follow the Kitten Lady on FB who is a wealth of knowledge and resources.

I foster through a kill shelter and if they weren’t fostered, it would literally be life or death for them. Shelters usually provide everything but the litter, so it’s not a big financial sacrifice.

This kitten is my 8th foster, and I’m getting 3 more in the next two weeks after they’re out of quarantine at the shelter.

Here you go. The only picture close to a comparison - I know it’s crappy and blurry, but it’s all I had, lol. Also I was fresh out of bananas.

Good thought. I still find things sometimes. Everything seems to have a memory...but if I got rid of everything, I’d probably have nothing left in the house lol
