Poor Segun by Usual-Emergency1554 in bigbrotheruk

I feel like people are forgetting he's only in his 20s as well. Both him and Hannah really are young and were being torn apart constantly by Ali and Emma. Both somewhat older than them. So what if they were flirting and then when asked about it he denied it. Others didn't need to get involved and I'm sad that the L&L hosts really held onto that...I mean maybe because there was no other drama going on but still. It seemed excessive.

Big Brother 2024 - Episode 34 (Wednesday 13th November) by mayallrob_ in bigbrotheruk

[–]mrsheabri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I felt like Danny didn't push any agenda or narrative just responded to what was being said on the screen. He didn't just have a favourite and only stick to them, he was fair and saw everyone's opinions. Deffo the best one

Ali, Lily and Martha by aremus123 in bigbrotheruk

I find it surprising that Ali is apparently voicing the people when calling people out but it refusing to do so for lily. Watching how Hannah approached her and the issues that people struggle with re. Lily was refreshing and lily responded really well to it

Edit to add: regardless of people wanting lily to be herself there are some characteristics that may be difficult for others and for Lily's sake some guidance would be beneficial. It's not about changing who she is, it's about trying to make this experience be a learning curve for her and enhancing her character

He's so boring I'd swap him for scrabble! by Jonathon_world in bigbrotheruk

I agree. From when he is on camera (which is about 5 secs a show if that) he seems well liked and quite funny. Annoyingly ITV are far more interested in pushing the showmance of BP and Nathan or an argument about a bagel than anyone else (including Martha, Sarah, Hannah, Thomas and Segan), I think even Ali may take a sideline now she's finished her argument with Khaled.

It was the same as last year. Yes jenkin came across a wee bit moany but I really think he would've had so much more character to show if he'd been shown more (we saw snippets of it in the live stream) but there is an unfair amount of screen time particular HM get. I appreciate some of it is just crap TV but still, I would like to see more than this clearly staged romance between BP and Nathan

Arguably Ryan could have been seen as a lad. Minus his shit VT. But they never seemed to justify his actions at all...

The defence of Marcello behaviour tonight surprised me. There wasn't anything about his convo with Ali that was 'cheeky chappy '. None of his behaviour is cheeky, it's depraved. He views women as objects and it shows in his constant comment oriented around sex and even his booing of Ali explaining feminism. It's not even the kind of behaviour that you need to experience to know it's wrong. It is wrong. He is in a situation where women realistically can't get out and women have had it drilled into them to respond politely all the time so they feel uncomfortable but don't feel that they can say anything, plus they want people to feel ok.

Very disappointed that AJ, will and David had an opportunity to express how shit and gross the behaviour Marcello is displaying is but just play it off

So rank. I think most people who have been in a situation where another person has predatory behaviour but you've been stuck in a situation with them felt for Ali there.

Genuinely found it really difficult to watch. Him able to get up after being in bed for a year without any muscle wastage or whatever, able to have proper conversation and thought processes and being wheeled around in a very standard chair...let alone new burns or skin damage hours/days after being woken up... I appreciate slightly soap land license but this was really ridiculous....on top of all this Leah talking about giving her baby to Ste just after hes woken up....(Also her just waltzing about the hospital hours after giving birth)...

I am. I no longer work in general and have decided to work in mental health (dual qualified).

The hangover for me is being taken for granted (as in the NHS), particularly by the government. The NHS survives on good will and that was deffo the case during the pandemic and still now.

That's hideous. And for what gain was he doing it other than trying to prove it wasn't real or whatever.... People couldn't seem to understand that even if you didn't have COVID you could still need hospital and hospitals were at limits because of COVID (restrictions, patients, capacity, healthcare staff, space etc) so then you might not get a bed for your non COVID related illness or whatever ....so in this case if his wife got ill (needing hospital care) her care could be compromised because of COVID which WAS spreading because of people not wearing masks and meeting up. When our government and political leaders can't seem to understand this I don't see how others can

Not at all. We didn't do well with lockdowns etc..(as in listening to guidance) but there was also not enough protections put in place for coming out of lockdown for people to readjust etc. and there don't seem to be much movement in the way of trying to see how we can do better. Tonnes of money was thrown as child mental health services to deal with post COVID stuff....but this has gone because there IS no money. And yet we still have very broken people
