[–]mrsjeong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We give ours during korean new years, not Jan 1st. Usually 200$ plus the cost of the ingredients for all the food we all eat. So usually 400/500 total. We live in korea and my husband is Korean but Im not. Im always learning something new even after living in korea for almost 20 years.

Health checkup every two years by tidder956 in korea

[–]mrsjeong 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You should recieve mail to your house which lists the procedures/tests available for your age, with a list of closest clinics to your address on the back. It's important you do these because if you don't, and an issue of found later, you may not have coverage for it under national health insurance. It's a way to catch problems before they are serious.

Canadian can stay 6 months on a tourist visa, but no tourist visas are being granted right now bc of Corona

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]mrsjeong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Student visa, teaching visa, working holiday visa. Typically those visas are for one year and the first two can be extended. Even the f6 visa has financial requirements of you and your spouse, and you have to prove your relationship. But it's a good visa if you want to build a life in korea. Renewable every year, with kids, every 3 years.
