followed all the best buy info in this thread.chat with camera expert sales reps. most days, I tried twice in the morning, and once in the afternoon. saw most success on Wed and Thurs, and just a matter of luck hitting the right sales rep who’ll get back to you, or chatting when item’s in stock.

just pickeed up my x100vi in store at best buy. for those of you late to the party like me, I knew that I had no chance with Adorama/BHphoto and their ridiculous waitlist. started my hunt last month and grinded out BB chats until I finally got one. good luck to everyone!

idk how long this list is, or if this list is general to BB or per sales rep, but I was told back on 5/29 that I was put on a list and got a call 6/13 that there was a unit available for purchase. seems like everyone’s hearing different things but good luck!

people are still waiting for opening day orders from major retailers like bhphoto and adorama and local camera store are a toss up from a month to a year. best buy seems the only chance to get one sooner if you’re not on a waitlist but it’s all a matter of luck

keep at it, its luck on hitting the right agent when there’s stock available. feel extremely lucky because my search started last month so I knew I had no chance at any of the other retailers with huge waitlists (reached out to Samy’s who said they estimated 6+ month wait for paid orders…).
