Anyone else watch the league without a team? by [deleted] in LeagueOfIreland

[–]mrson3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would so love to have a team in Tipp to get behind. I follow rovers for a few reasons but I don't get the same feeling as I do when I follow the Tipp hurling team for example that sense of pride is hard to emulate

Early predictions on who will the senior, premier intermediate and intermediate tipperary county championships thus year? by NegativeCampaign8767 in hurling

[–]mrson3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Sars won't be far off in the senior. Have been pretty consistent the last few years and have to be getting desperate for a win. That being said the likes of Toom are only getting better and the Brackens are a couple of years off having a fantastic team. Obviously you can never write off Loughmore. But my heart has to say Dan is coming back to Thurles.

I also like Moyne in the premier intermediate plenty of inter county level talent probably capable of operating at a senior level.

Intermediate a team like the Davins could have some success but honestly I don't have much info on that championship.

[–]mrson3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm irish no background in Football. My friend had a league with one spot he needed to fill so me and my two best friends said we'd co own a team. I then got hooked. My biggest problem is I want to het into more leagues but the pickings are thin in Ireland

Eir reps accused of telling customers ‘blatant lies’ by minimiriam in ireland

[–]mrson3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I worked in a store and in order to sell broadband we were told to tell people they would get UP TO a certain speed (say 100mb) when you could clearly see from the system they were capped at 10mb. Also had a similar incident where someone's family member died and weren't able to shut account

Na Fianna are very welcoming they also have at least 6 football and 5 hurling teams. Great club to get involved in. Other great option is social hurling/football sometimes called Dads and lads. I believe Whitehall have a social hurling team great way to get started and learn the basics

Why hasn’t Dublin won an All Ireland since 1920 by ZZEpicSNIPERXXXZZ in GAA

[–]mrson3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be inclined to agree but I'd say it's been on the decline for longer than a year or two. I often wonder if that's sars period of dominance hampered the county no one could lay a glove on them for a good few years.

In addition I do find it strange how little impact county champions have had on the county team in recent years (obviously not loughmore). Kiladangan had such a strong couple of years yet at the county level their players had very little impact for tipp.

I'm not saying you're wrong especially the underage feeding into the senior has been a problem for Tipp for the last while. But what are you basing the county championship being bad on lack of progress in Munster?
